feedback about Whittier Hospital Medical Center
I had to change my review only because I was able to talk with other parents about there delivery experience at other hospitals. The delivery was scary all the way through. I was so grateful that my daughter was born at the end of the process. As first time parents going through a delivery for the first time we didn't know what to expect, or how things are supposed to be done. So we didn't really know how to speak for ourselves, or request for regular protocol procedures. I don't know what else I could say besides talk regularly with your doctor have there number ready and call them right when you are on your way to the hospital.
This is a small hospital but they seem ok enough. This review is for the maternity ward. While everyone was nice and I was reasonably comfortable for a person who just gave birth , what disappointed me is their Lactation service. I am a first time mom and even though I goggle a lot and all, in retrospect I didn’t know much about breastfeeding. My baby wouldn’t latch on, and some of the nurses would kind of attempt to help, but it felt like they were in a hurry and it wasn’t really part of their job. My advice is to not give up on breastfeeding if u experience lack of support there, just keep trying even if u feel misery and seek a Lactation consultant.
From the emergency,ICU,and maternity unit I'm more than grateful for all the Drs,nurses, and staff! I was treated with the utmost attention. Everyone was very kind and took care of me with kindness and professionalism. Always on top of my medical needs and made me feel like I was gonna be ok due to how sick I got and being pregnant at the same time. I was also offered additional help emotionally because of the severity of my condition as well as getting started with breastfeeding. I had my first child here 7 years ago and once again I was not disappointed with baby #2. This will always be my go hospital!
ON DECEMBER THE 1ST 2018, MY DAD WAS ADMITTED IN I C U
AROUND 8:00 PM. Right after he was admitted, a nurse by the
name Kristine Castro came out to keep us informed on how
our dad was doing. Kristine showed so much compassion for our elderly father and was very kind to all my siblings and mother. She went above and beyond to make us feel at "home". We never ever met a kind nurse like her. It really shows how passionate she is about her career.
We really would like to recognize her hard work.
God bless her and her family.
One of the best hospital's Ive been to so far they took their time to find out what was wrong with my girlfriend who is 6 months pregnant and still managed to give her medicine while being pregnant for her painpain staff are all super attentive and actually want to help you I really recommend this hospital and will be going back if we ever need to thank you all so much 🙏
