feedback about Williamsport Regional Medical Center
I just wanted to tell you how wonderful your staff at UPMC in Williamsport, PA was on 10/4/18. Our family rushed to the hospital when we learned that our sister/sister-in-law and her boyfriend were in a terrible explosion that destroyed their home. When we arrived, we were sent to a trauma waiting room with other friends and family. The staff were all very kind and attentive to any needs we had. They brought in more chairs, offered drinks, escorted us to restrooms, etc. When the doctor came in he was also kind, explained everything to us and answered any questions we had. Sister Gabriella was truly a blessing! :) Thankfully, the injuries sustained were only minor compared to what everyone (including the hospital staff) thought they would be encountering. However, they never treated us as if it wasn't a major situation. Thank you UPMC!
ER is dirty, people are not nysnc. A bunch of zombies facing computers and another conjugating in the corner eating and talking. Finally met with the ER doctor. This guy is dry as dirt. Dr. Smith has no people skills, no warmth in his voice just a robot. He prescribed meds without looking through the records. He needs to be reminded again why his a doctor. He looks pissed all the time, and he looks like he wants to punch a wall or someone. He needs a care bear intervention
Sometimes ok But emergency room and rooms horrible.I have seen dirty iv's and needles left on window seals bloody gauze and caps left on bed side traysand beds not helping people get cleaned up for day when they stay.. Dr care has gone down there compassion and knowledge
Dr. And Dr. Assistant were fresh out of Grad. school. I came in with sciatic pain and left worse then I came in. I was handed a script for a muscle relaxer and sent home. When I questioned the Dr. He became rude and condescending. I will never return to this hospital. This is my second bad experience here.
The staff were really nice and the PA that did my 3 year olds stitches was really friendly and did a very good job. HOWEVER, the fact that she cracked her eyebrow open at 10:30 (we only live a 2-3 minute drive from the hospital) and we didn't leave until after 2am, is ridiculous. On top of that, no one cleaned it or offered us anything to put on it, at all and they didn't even do her stitches until right before we left. It only took a matter of minutes to stitch her up and discharge us, so she had to lay in a room for hours with an open head wound. I'd say if you're looking for a quicker visit to go to Jersey Shore or Muncy, they typically don't take as long for their services.
