A completed laboratory report records the laboratory’s reported findings for a specific order. Depending on the test and laboratory, the report may include patient and ordering-provider identifiers, specimen and collection details, test names, result values, reference information, status, and comments.
A portal summary can be useful, but it may not contain every field shown in the downloadable report. When you need a durable copy, download the report itself and keep its original filename and date. Do not rely on MedicalRecords.com to interpret a flag, reference range, or clinical comment.
