All the credit goes to maternal and newborn unit! So I'm 35 weeks pregnant with a million problems. One of which I just developed a thrombosed hemorrhoid (worst kind there is) I went to the ER and they didn't even look at it. They told me to sit in hot water and over time it'll get better. Didn't give me any medicine to ease the pain or anything. Well a couple days later I went into what I thought was labor and the maternal floor was more help with my hemorrhoids than the ER. They gave me numbing gel, witch hazel pads, and meds to make me comfortable. They also allowed me to see the general surgeon to further talk about it. The nurses and doctors up there were amazing. I literally feel at home and safe there. Bassett ER is completely trash. If you can I recommend going to the off post hospital ER to be seen because Bassett ER litterally doesn't care.

WORST HOSPITAL EVER! We've had so many issues with this hospital concerning my son it's down right sad. We've had to seek care else where several times due to their negligence and lack of ability for small children with medical needs. The first thing that happened to my son he went in for an endoscopy and had aspirated and had bronchial spasms to which he stopped breathing. We ended up going to Washington where they were better equipped to handle ecerything. Second incident that happened we went to the ER because my son wasn't eating or drinking, constantly running a high fever and no meds were helping. They did a flu swab, drew blood and did a Urine test. The WBC came back elevated in which they claim was NORMAL. So the doctor said he had a stomach flu and sent us home. The next day we went to FMH because he was worse. They ran test, which included ultrasound, more blood work and the CT scan. They found that my 18 month old sons appendix had ruptured. He was hospitalized for two weeks. He has to have surgery in July and Bassett feels the need to deny authorization for both parents to go. It's disgusting. Had this not been caught by FMH I probably could've lost my son and that would've been TWICE now due to Bassett being stupid. I'm so disgusted with this hospital and their lack of care/compassion.

Went in lastnight with a violent and persistent cough for over 3 weeks and my right side of body began hurting very badly. Was promptly checked in and greeted by a very cordial staff.

Triage nurse was exceptionally diligent to attention to detail while being overall pleasant to both my husband and myself. X-ray tech and all meddacs who saw or checked on me were very nice and polite. And doctor had great bed-side manners!

Was in and out in within 2 hours and it was a very pleasant and professional experience considering how awful I was doing.

ER experience was split. First doctor seemed tired and lacking effort, second doctor was much more investigative as to my issues. Wait time is not long, nurses and aides are nice. Dr. Beauchamp, PCM was great, but he got switched to another floor, I miss his care. General surgery, Dr. Sears is a wonderful doctor, highly recommend him. I hesitated with surgery by the previous doctor there, but Dr. Sears made me feel 100% confident in having my procedure done. He's a great doctor. Surgery staff, OR nurses, anesthesia was kind and comforting. OB has been a pleasant experience so far. I love relay health, fast response times with doctors and appointments.

Had my daughter there September 2016. Best experience; everyone was so nice in L&D. Special shout out to my night nurse (Flo) who kept me calm and comfortable during my labor.
Had my Gallbladder Removed February 2017 surgeon was so nice nurses were great and we're very reassuring.
