feedback about Flower Hospital
I have been to Flower as an ER patient, for numerous tests, scans, and surgery for my wife, and the care is exceptional. The people are wonderful, very caring, very professional. I could not recommend it more highly.
I had surgery on my hand after severely cutting two of my fingers. (Cut through the tendons.). The doctors and nurses were great and my fingers are now 100% back to normal now. 😁
I live a mile from Flower Hospital. After having chest pains. My daughter called 911. My nurse Sarah was so nice. Doctors were all so hospitable.
I suffer from chronic anxiety and panic attacks along with severe PTSD and like many other mental health patients I end up in the emergency room needing treatment at times. This time I went there and there was a wonderfully nice resident doctor I believe his name was Josh that wanted to do anything he could to help me get through to my psych appointment that's when another doctor came in dr. Johnson I believe and said that I had been seen there a few times and they couldn't help me. I sit there alone in the room thinking what my life was really worth and how much they wanted to stereotype me because of my mental health issues. I've been on the same medication for 20 years not because I want to be because that's all that helps instead of helping me get through it and making a plan they just put me off to the side. And sitting there I began thinking about how my last dying breaths will probably be at a hospital like this with the cold feelings of some staff member that lost their way in the healthcare field and immediately I had to leave because of that point I became suicidal and only after sitting at the chapel for an hour did I come to my right mind enough just a living get out of there. That doctor oughta be ashamed of himself and to that resident doctor please don't lose your way and get burnt out and think of everybody and how they look fact your reputation be a doctor and do what doctors do practice medicine.
Went for an eye exam, and rather than testing my eyes the physician proceeded to try to sell me his book, deny my use of contact lenses as "stupid", and tell me that now that I'm "old" I will need bifocals. I don't know why he was trying to force me into bifocals as I am reading and texting perfectly fine without them. His personal hatred for the contact lens industry means that he billed my insurance but refused to write me a prescription for my contacts or glasses that work for my actual needs. From what I experienced, I will never come back here. If this is how they staff and support the place, this hospital must be corrupt and lacking in compassion. Just bulldoze Flower Hospital already.
