feedback about Galion Community Hospital
I had a total of two surgeries at Galion. Hospital and staff were nothing less than stellar. From the people checking me in to the nurses and surgeon (Dr, Dawson), everything was great. I would go there again if I ever needed anything done.
I worked at the dietary department for a year and a half at the Galion hospital. Totally unprofessional management showing total favoritism towards certain associates. They have recently hired certain incompetent and lazy new employees who practice no sanitary guidelines or protocol. Management does nothing to rectify or retrain these certain new employees on proper sanitary practices. They think it is a big joke! While they do have several hard working qualified associates that do there job well I still wouldn't recommend this job to my worst enemy! Me and my family will never dine in the cafeteria or utilize the medical services or consume patient meals offered at Avita Health System Galion Ohio and I'm telling everyone I know or meet about the piss poor sanitary practices I've personally witnessed first hand while I was employed there.
Almost a week to get blood pressure meds refilled went 4 days without and secerse phone calls and was told there was a recall on meds and I guess they didn't have the brain cells to realize I needed some medicine after several calls I finally got him to refill the medicine that had not actually been recalled real incompetence I'll be looking at Ohio Health
It’s a delight working together with the Galion Avita Hospital. As a new local clergy person, I have been given a great deal help in finding certain facilities within the building and friendly service in directing me to a parishioner’s room. I was present today to participate in the Blessing of the Hands service held in the chapel. What a joy to have such a service available! I greatly appreciated giving back to those who serve the Galion community through the hospital.
GOD NO! I came here once before and thought it was a fluke when I got bad service (Everyone has bad days). As I sit here again for the 3rd time... it has been 6 hours of wait time for a diagnosis and five pokes later looking for a vein for an IV drip. The nurses should know more about how to do that kinda stuff right? However they just sit and talk to each other while we push the call button for our constantly beeping machines. My daughter is lying on the floor trying to sleep(as well as crying to go home at 2am) and don't even get me started on the filthy floors and walls.
I will NOT come back here!
