My 5 star review is based specifically on Susie who brightened my day just by answering my phone call with amazingly positive energy. In my line of work, I call facilities all day long and Susie was by far one of the best first impressions that I have received! Thank you Susie!
My doctor (Dr. Benson) is awesome!! I followed him from AVMC when he moved here. The staff is very friendly and courteous and they have some state of the art technology. However I do not believe some of their systems work very well. They recently changed software and now I have 2 separate accounts. I was not made aware there were "separate accounts" when I set-up my payment plan. Now they have sent the account I was unaware of to collections. I cancelled a pre-op, surgery and surgery due to insurance issues. Two weeks after I had cancelled the surgery the staff called to schedule a post-op appointment. Billing phone calls are not returned and internal communication is sorely broken. My father has gotten better communication at the local VA.
I switched to see a Dr in Mayo Clinic Health System in Cannon Falls. I primarily thought that it would be great because Mayo Clinic H.S. can see the Mayo Clinic (Rochester) records and vice versa. That IS great. But I was completely unprepared for the level of actual kindness I received. The receptionist was so cheerful and genuine. I received a paging device so that I could wander around the waiting area or go downstairs to the tables and food service area. When I was called, the areas of offices are well defined “neighborhoods.” I didn’t feel like a mouse in a maze at all! The scales are inside the offices. The nurse made sure that I was aware of what all of my vitals were. The Dr was amazing and mentioned, in complete sincerity, that he was there to serve and help. The receptionist stopped to chat as we passed her on the way out. The fact that the hospital is attached means that you don’t get a “hospitalist” on your care team but your own family medicine Dr. if you have one there. I am beyond pleased with my experience and do not dread going back (the way that I have with some Drs in the past).
Took my husband in to the ER. Everyone was amazing. Compassionate, caring, thorough. Everyone from the receptionist to the nurses to the Dr. To the ambulance, everyone was so friendly, helpful, compassionate. Even when giving devastating news, they were so wonderful. I have never been treated so well. They were quick to diagnose and get results. I just cannot say enough good about this hospital/ER. It is so nice to see customer care, compassion, and just amazing people. I highly recommend ER Mayo Clinic Cannon Falls MN.
Thank you all that were on duty this past Saturday. Thank you all so much for everything. You are amazing and an asset to our community. Thank you for treating us so well and taking such good care of my husband.
