Very nice staff and friendly explanation of procedure and time that it would take. Would have given 5 stars but there was one major fault. No one, not at registration desk or at the point of care, asked to see any type of ID. I know that someone should have asked for a photo ID and it did not happen. This is how Medicare fraud happens. Someone else could have been using my medical insurance and no one at Menorah would have known .

I had excellent care after knee revision surgery, done by a highly skilled and competent orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Cameron Ledford. The nursing staff were caring and responsive to my needs. The meals were excellent. The recovery nursing was very attentive and efficient. The surgery prep staff were polite, explained things to me as they got me ready for surgery, and kind. They saw to it that my things got sent to my room and nothing was lost. Even though I didn't request it, a Catholic priest came to visit me and gave me some sacred items that encouraged and strengthened me for the future challenges of my recovery. When it was time for me to leave Menorah for rehab, I told them I didn't want to go because they were so good to me. I give the nursing staff credit for getting me on the path to a successful recovery.

Antibiotics weren't working. Primary said to go to in network ER, and went to Menorah. They said I should be fine and to "drink lots of water" and finish the antibiotics. I did. Went back to primary because I was no better. Primary prescribed stronger antibiotic and was better in no time. Reluctantly paid ER bill. Then got bill from doctor - turns out even though Menorah is an in network hospital they contract out with out of network docs without telling the patient insurance won't cover them. Didn't even see the doc, saw a PA. What a hot mess. Not another dime, Menorah.

The staff, from the registration desk to the checkin desk, to the surgical and main floors were all super nice, responsive and caring. It was a pleasure to have surgery at this facility.

The food was really great, believe me or not... but it's the best I've had at any hospital to date. You order like it's room service and they deliver it within the hour depending on time of order. They have enough options to satisfy most everyone!

Due to the severity of my pain, the entire emergency staff clearly focused on relieving the pain as quickly as possible! They didn't require me to have any addition testing done until my pain was manageable. I sincerely appreciate that level of care and concern! In addition, they were very welcoming, professional and even funny in a tough situation. Menorah is the only hospital that I trust.
