feedback about Mercy Allen Hospital
Super nice staff, but borderline worthless services based on 4 basic (2 adult and 2 kid) ER visits. Great place to recieve a $1000+ bill and an ace wrap. Any injury more than stitches, save urself frustration and just go straight to a University Hosp. Center.
Dr. Akusoba has to be the worst doctor ever! If they dont get a new doctor soon they might have a hospital to worry about. How do you send a patient home with back pain knowing she has numbness in both legs, and in the face. Her cheeks, eye balls, lips, tongue. She has also has had problem with breathing. Has stopped for very short periods of times .He didn't seemed concerned about it. Told me to contact my doctor about tomorrow. So I asked the nurse about it and she blew it off and told me that I was breathing right now and didn't stop while I was there. I was only there an hour and a half. She said to have one of my sons to stay up and make sure it doesn't happen. Omg!!! My kids have school!!! Are we serious???? She said I was alive right now! Omg!!! This is how this hospital is run. Dont get me started about what they gave me for the pain! Or better words didn't give me anything. I would rather ride on a tractor to Cleveland than to be treated at this hospital. ..
Go to this ER at your own risk! The doctor will ask you questions then talk over you as you start to answer. Seems like everyone hates their job in there and you’re just another number. The place is run down. If you can, go someplace else.
If I could give this hospital zero stars I would. Hmmmmmm where to start.... The receptionists at the emergency entrance all act like they have something up their butt. Rude, "you can't sit with us" attitude. We get it. You hate your life. But if I come in sick as hell I don't care how crappy your life is. But I suppose misery loves company.
Next up is the actual diagnosing and etc... Yeah they don't care. They literally look for the most basic diagnosis without actually trying to make sure everything is okay. My boyfriend went there a week ago throwing up blood and they completely ignored that. He ended up having to go to the emergency room again but this time I took him to Westshore instead and they did everything and actually figured out what was wrong gave him the correct medication, and were actually comforting and kind. Even security was nice. But security at Oberlin, also, act like they have an attitude problem. Mean-mugging you for no reason.
The nurses have ABSOLUTELY no clue how to do an IV. Expect to have blood everywhere because they are idiots. The Doctor (with the strong accent) is a moron too. He asks dumbass questions that have absolutely nothing to do with your conditions and he brushes you off like he has better things to do.
Oberlin Hospital is by far THE worst hospital in Ohio thus far and is in dire need of reevaluation. They need better staff that actually care and Doctors that aren't morons.
I have never had to wait to see a heaalth professional. Always thorough and professional.
