feedback about Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center
after a bout with atrial fibrillation, I went to the ER and was treated by Dr. Russ Harris and his amazing staff. I was admitted for 24 hours and cant say enough good things about all of the staff....nurses to food service people. EVERYONE was wonderful and nice. Being sick was never so pleasant!
Lourdes Medical Center of New Jersey has refused my friend to be placed on their Kidney Transplant List!!!!!
He was denied being on the transplant list because they claim he lives too far away! He lives less than 2 hours away!!!!!!!
They were "concerned" he wouldn't be able to do the aftercare after surgery. Meaning doctor's appointments, etc. He explained to them its not a far drive and he could always rent an apartment down there for a few months or rent a room or get a BnB. Every answer was no. He begged "how could you deny someone a life saving transplant just based on the fact that they live 2 hours away. its not fair!!"
Clearly their transplant team doesn't care about saving lives!
This post will be shared publicly in the hopes that others will see it and possibly share it with other social media and news groups. A formal complaint with hospital administration is also being working on.
I had surgery here on a Tuesday morning and was treated in the 6 North recovery ward until the following Wednesday evening. The surgical prep team, the surgical team, and the recovery team were all great. They had a superb bedside manner, checked in on me frequently, and responded to my needs quickly. I don't remember the names of everyone but I know some of the nurses who really took great care of me were Jackie, Marina, Laura, and Sandra.
The parking attendant working on 6/21 at 12pm at the Camden location was extremely rude. I did not have any cash on me and only had coins in my car. Thankfully I had $4 in coins but unfortunately $0.20 was in pennies. When I pulled up I told him I only had coins. He accepted the first $3 in quarters and dimes and nickels but got very angry when I tried to give him the pennies. I apologized that I didn’t have any cash and this was all I had but he said just give him the $3 and he doesn’t need my pennies. Then he proceeded to tell the person in line behind me I tried to give him 100 pennies and I’m out of my mind.
This was really upsetting to me because he doesn’t know anything about me or my situation. This man was the last Our Lady of Lourdes employee I interacted with and based on this interaction I would not recommend this hospital. If this is the type of people you employ I would not want me or a loved one going here for compassionate care in a time of need.
Never again how can a nurse stick me once then use the same need for a different site unexceptable , I am a phlebotomists I would never fail to fail my steps
