feedback about Regina Hospital
3 Stars might be a bit generous for my LO’s recent stay. The staff was generally good. I did have to be assertive with an aide who grabbed my LO’s arms to pull her to sitting. After years of RA this was extremely painful and the aide didn’t stop when my LO yelled out in pain. We left without a diagnosis of what was going on. Only a week after discharge did I find out there is a new mass in one of my LO’s lungs. That would be important for family to know, I’d think. Very disappointing stay. Oh! And be prepared if you are admitted at night. Your doctor will be virtual. Yep, seen by a computer screen with a doctor in Florida.
The way they bill their ER visits is appalling. Apparently the Dr you will see won’t process for insurance the same as the facility they are currently working in. Subcontractor doctor overcharging for your visit. WOW!?! I will never come back to this ER again and you shouldn’t either!
My mother will be 84 years old this Sunday and most of her life it has been one thing after another to cause her to have depression, anxiety and paranoia most of her life. We had her sent to the the Grace Unit at Regina Hospital in Hastings, MN. She was there for two weeks and going through the process tough for our family. But on the day she got out she was such a changed person, that I felt like this is truly her real personality. She used to cry and be frustrated and angry so often, there was hardly a day she wasn't upset especially as she grew older. She is so happy now and so funny to be with her personality just shines. I am so grateful for the Grace Unit helping my mom. I just could go back down there and give them all a hug, because its a beautiful thing they did for my mom. I will be forever grateful to the help they've for my mom. She is a new person. We were also able to get her out just in time to celebrate her birthday with the whole family. And it will be wonderful for her to see family members she hasn't seen in a long time and for everyone to see the big smile on her face. If ever anybody has an elderly family member who needs help with mental health issues, I highly recommend The Grace Unit at Regina's. You won't regret it!
Every time we have gone to the ER, we have been treated quickly and with respect. The Drs. and nurses are amazing!
It is great for most things but if you need any real serious help go to st Paul for that.
