Single mother of 3 year old twins and we have visited the emergency room a couple of times the last few years. One time because of a febrile seizure. (Scariest moment of my life.) The paramedics, nurses, and whole staff were great. They kept me calm and also kept entertainment for the twin that wasn’t sick. They showed that they cared and made sure I felt comfortable going home before we did.

This hospital does not even deserve one star. I don't even know how to begin to describe the unbelievably horrific experience I had at Ridgeview Medical Center.

I was treated at this hospital for several days for a medical condition that can SOMETIMES be caused by excess alcohol consumption. This, however, was not my case, but I was discriminated repeatedly by nurses and staff. Kyle Mairose, the doctor who was on duty for most of my stay, was extremely condescending and had horrible bedside manner. He made me feel extremely uncomfortable and I am 100% certain they do not abide by HIPAA (protection of your medical history). The nurses I dealt with were extremely rude and uneducated, most of the time not even knowing what Celiac disease was and the seriousness of it. In this day and age of gluten-free trends, how has a NURSE never heard of Celiac? My pain was extraordinarily difficult to manage. When requesting pain medication, nurses would ignore my requests and go back to checking their cell phone. At one point, my oxygen mask fell off and my oxygen levels dropped. The machine I was hooked up to began beeping uncontrollably. Nobody came to check on me. My husband woke up and put the mask back on my face, saving my life. Even after the mask was put back on my face, nobody came to check on me. To prevent blood clots, I needed to receive very painful shots into my abdomen. One of the nurses would jab my stomach with such force it would cause me to jolt forward, screeching in pain, to which she responded with no compassion or care. Ridgeview offers employment to some of the most sadistic, unintelligent nurses I've ever encountered in my life. Before leaving, my husband, mother and I met with the manager of the nurses who was left with tears in her eyes when she heard about how horrific her staff was.

I've never had a more negative experience at a hospital in my life and I would recommend anyone who cares about their health and well-being to keep driving into the city. Go to ANY other hospital. I wouldn't be surprised if this place failed health inspections.

Upon finally leaving this hospital, bills became rolling in from various companies within a week. The $1,500 they demanded immediately upon my discharge was sent to a debt collecting agency just three short months after I was released. I have never heard of a hospital selling a patient's debt in such a short period of time. Nobody even tried to call me. I had attempted to make a payment plan on their website, but even a tech-savvy person like myself found it to be completely useless and impossible to navigate. I sent a letter to their billing department via snail mail and heard nothing. Now, I have to deal with a third party debt collector.

The best part about this hospital -- was finally being able to leave.

I utilized to emergency room today and couldn't be happier with my experience! My nurse, and doctor were fantastic listeners, had A+ bedside manners and were thorough in regards to tests run. I had a ct scan and the staff that assisted me there were also very friendly. I arrived today feeling extremely ill, and left feeling incredibly better. I am so grateful for the care I was given today, everyone was wonderful!
