Friendly professional response to my immediate needs. Cost of medical care is not dictated by the staff.
Once admitted was very quickly taken care of and found the ladies at the reception lovely and very competent. It was a wait like any emergency room but was made very comfortable until the doctors made their evaluation and subsequently admitted me to the hospital. Hope you never have to use the services there but it is a good , safe and competent staff to help you!!!!!

I can't speak about the rest of the hospital, but the birthing/maternity ward was phenomenal! The nurses, staff, and doctors were attentive, considerate, knowledgeable, patient, and kind. The birthing center was clean (they cleaned our room every day), quiet, and safe (alarms go off if you take a baby beyond the birthing ward). You get a private room, which is not the case in some other hospitals. There was a bed for my husband to sleep, which was nice.

The staff helps give you the type of birthing experience you want, without pressuring you one way or the other with respect to pain meds, etc. They help you with breastfeeding and even give you a sleep sack and some hats and socks to take home. There were also several options to give you flexibility during birth (birthing balls, mobile fetal heart monitoring).

For the most part, the baby stays with you in the room the whole time, but there is a nursery where they can take the baby for a couple hours (our son spent 3 hours there one night which was a life saver....other than that he was with us each night).

The hospital is smaller than Hillcrest and some other maternity wards, but the only downfall with that was a little less waiting room for family and less cafeteria/food options. Other than that, this met/exceeded my expectations.

From the emergency room to intensive care to my med surg floor everyone was wonderful. Every doctor, every nurse and every aide were so helpful and just really nice. The dietary staff were so great in making sure I had the things I needed to support my nutritional meds. The ladies in the gift shop we so nice every time I went in they were just happy to see me.
I would recommend this hospital to everyone.
They made sure I was comfortable and took the time to listen to my needs.

Had nothing but bad experiences in the ER. Unless something obvious is wrong like a broken bone, they can't diagnose. Won't even order the proper testing.

Went in after I had an injection done and was in so much pain. They gave me meds but all it did was make me high and not take my pain away. They red flagged me because I still hurt after the meds they gave me. I've been dealing with chronic pain for 9 years now in my hips and the doctor treated me like i was one of these junkies out here... hate that place!
