The emergency room doctor and staff were great. I shot myself with a nail gun and was close to freaking out. The nurses kept me calm. I accidentally kicked one nurse in the shoulder and she was very kind about the whole thing.
Took son here for a head injury this week. The doctor was possibly the kindest and most sincere I've had the good fortune to meet. The admission staff and the triage nurse were very kind and professional. By far the best hospital (emergency room) I've been to. I wish I knew the doctor's name, he looked about 20 but he was exceptional in his bedside manner.
NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY!!! my 3 kids and I were kicked out because they didn't want us to stay the night with their father. Nurse was cold, rude and singled me out due to our being broke status. My husband and I and our children are a family and their father who is still there on the 5th floor has never been away from them. My kids are devastated and I not only left crying but am still crying and upset and we live over an hour away one way and they pretty much told me not to come back since they will provide a taxi if he ever gets out.
Went here to get an endoscopy. I was told I could have it 1/2/19never got it and was told early morning 1/3/19, it’s now almost 2 pm 1/3 and no one has come checked on me, my iv bag is empty and machine has been beeping for a half hour, presses the nurse button multiple times and no one has come. Multiple doctors that I don’t even know what they do or why they are checking my breathing and heart keeps coming in. Maybe at 9 different doctors now. Saw the surgeon once and haven’t seen him again. Signed papers for surgery at 8 am this morning and still waiting. Asked for an estimate time, and they said they didn’t know and said the doctor isn’t even here! Wouldn’t recommend this place. Very very slow and can hardly understand the nurses and doctors. They have heavy accents and one didn’t even speak English.
Update: finally got the surgery at 5 pm 1/3. Told me I could eat food and never changed my diet to regular and had to go through different people to do that, room service was rude. Asked for food and they kept saying I wasn’t allowed. Kept calling back to see if it was changed and they’d interrupt me multiple time. Took me 5 mins to even say what I wanted cuz they kept interrupting me.
Very good staff, very nice facility, but who ever picked out furniture in waiting rooms should be kicked in the nuts! I think the furniture was actually engineered to be completely uncomfortable, and ya, no parking ramp , this place is second only to the fargo airport for the worst walk in the cold frickin wind.
Anyways keep up good work.
The SANE (sexual assault nurse) Casey was horrible. Violated rights with law enforcement, told them her third hand version plus said I had to talk to them before I could see a dr. She asked my advocate to leave during exam, we refused. Told me, "Next time I am assaulted to come in sooner." I had gone in right away your receptionist at Sheyenne clinic said I could be seen next Monday! Casey obviously has NEVER been hurt. Her supervisor was completely disrespectful both to myself, advocate and mother. Sanford refused to do any swabs, head scan or a drug test being cops already presumed I was drunk or high because she said, " maybe it's mental illness or drugs." REALLY?! I had already seen a psychologist before a physical dr. Being I had to wait a week at Sanford after assault!
I collapsed 2 days later due to bad infection and a TBI on 32nd ave S. Taken to Essentia and finally learned what respect, rights and quality of care are supposed to be in these cases. Sanford needs some education!!!!
