Terrible emergency room care. Takes hrs. for a Dr..to get involved and usually miss diagnosed. Been this way for quite awhile wife sent home from c-section with infection that left a terrible scar, sons knee and foot fracture, shoulder fractures misdiagnosed. It's worth the commute even in an emergency to find a more competent medical facility!

My son hurt his foot. The x-ray showed a small fracture. They put a cast and gave him crutches. The works. Two days later saw the orthopedic and his words were “the emergency room went overboard” took the cast off and told us no need for the crutches. Just take it easy. Then we get the bill for ER visit over $500. Not sure exactly for what I requested an itemized bill but never received it.

Today I got a notice from a collection agency but no explanation for a bill. I’m sure the bill reflects charges that were not needed if an orthopedic had reviewed the x-ray. Just charges for my insurance and me to have to pay.

We will be traveling west towards Albany for emergency room visits from now on. Can’t be any worse. We will be paying the bill because apparently that’s the most important thing to them. Pay blindly because not itemization has been provided.

Thank you SVMC! We Stopped in to get an X-ray on my daughter’s hand on our way up to a ski weekend. We were in and out in an hour. From the receptionist, to the nurse and PA and X-ray technician, everyone was super kind and helpful from beginning to end. Thank you!

First aftrr giving my insurance information receptionist comes out and asked me when I retired or if I got government assistance
What's with that? I have Medicare and blue shield. Then waited for almost 2 hours,never saw a Dr.I went there to make sure that whatever was going on in my eye wasn't the onset of a stroke. I left, never to go there again. Worse hospital experience ever.
