Saddest excuse for a hospital. You have to wait 2 hours in the EMERGENCY ROOM lobby to before actually being treated for no reason what so ever. don’t know what people would do if they’re dying and had to go to the Er here. Not all doctors and nurses and staff are bad but most of them are. In case of an emergency...go to Lakin.
Do no go here! This place is full of doctors who lie to their clients to steal from them. They start patients with unnecessary meds then charge then, after that they tell you if you wanna get better you need to take blood exams, CT scan, x-ray etc.. etc.. to continue making you pay. This place should not be a hospital or most of it's staff should be replaced.
Go to LAKIN EVERYONE!!!!! I went to get an antibiotic for an injury I recieved years ago from being the victim of a crime. This injury if not treated rapidly can kill me. I go to the er and they refused to treat me. I got up to leave and upon releasing me I asked for the doctors name to file a complaint and so they could save a complaint or malpractice suit they called the cops on me and made up lies to have me arrested. So that if I filed a complaint they wouldn’t lose their job. I even have a video of it all, which will be used in court. Jacalyn Gadbois is the doctor. After getting out of jail I went to Lakin where they treated me with respect and care. Also the hospital looked much cleaner at Lakin. Staff was hospitable and kind and most importantly HONEST. Read some of the other posts on here!!! This hospital is a JOKE.
Doctors have NO bedside manner. SOME nurses do their best. It is a business and always comes down to the almighty dollar, no patient care! Their medicine is BEHIND the times about 10 years!!! Only go here if you cant make it to Amarillo, Oklahoma or Wichita.
I was admitted to the hospital. One doctor was working 28 patients on my floor. The doctor had a nervous breakdown in the middle of his shift and disappeared. I was overmedicated and fell head first on to the floor. The doctor from er had to examine me and evaluate my injuries and I was left with a black eye and head wound.
It was determined that I needed a pikk line a day or so after my fall. The technician had trouble inserting this line.
I was told by a nurse that I could check myself out of the hospital after I expressed my concern over proper care. The nurse agreed with my assessment of care and helped me check myself out.
Upon my request to cease care from the facility and check myself out the pikk was removed. The nurse noted there was dried blood on the line and expressed concern.
I checked myself into another hospital where it was determined I had a seven inch blood clot in the arm that the pikk line was in. I had thoracic outlet syndrome with a large blood clot.
I made the correct decision to leave St Catherines and seek treatment elsewhere.
