I went to the ER after having pain in my lower right side, when I was checked in the people were nice and I just ended up waiting the usual long time you have to wait in a hospital waiting room. When I went back a nurse came in and hooked some stuff up, than a Doctor came in, well a resident, he did an exam and told me he was gonna order some blood work and than left. 20 minutes later they take my blood. 1 and 1/2 later two nurses come back and they seemed very rushed and said they need this room and I was being discharged, I was more than happy to be going home but, I had just spent the last 3 hours waiting for answers and I got no follow up with the resident, they were very rushed so no time to ask any questions, they seemed very understaffed. Poor follow up.
This place is a waste of time. We checked in at 5pm at the emergency room waited until 6 hours. The lady behind the counter is no help what’s so ever. DO NOT COME HERE. They don’t care. They just want your money. Don’t come here. You will just wait 6-8 hours in the waiting room....
Staff was amazing they treated me like family and not like another patient.
Watch out for double billing to your insurance company. I inquired back in June about a double charge and was told to write an appeal letter which I did. Months had gone by with no statements so I figured it was taken care of. Nope., Today I get a call about a past due bill. The same billing person from my original call- Brian, very rude I might add, and scripted to say the same thing over and over. He said it was reviewed and I need to pay it. Would not give me his supervisor contact info for me to speak with. He said I owe that. I say No, it was a double charge to my insurance company for an x-ray that had to be retaken. So why charge it out again? Your error, should be no charge to me and should not have been billed to my insurance company again.
We just had our first child at St. John's and the staff have been outstandingly helpful. Drs. Friedman, Kerr, and Klosterman were very proficient and reassuring during labor and delivery. The nursing staff were very kind to my wife and I as well as to our parents who are not from this country. The staff are also highly proficient in breastfeeding techniques, stressing family bonding from the start. Finally, the omletts and pot roast from room service are delicious. I would very much recommend this department and hospital for labor and delivery.
