They took the best care of my toddler in their ER! She was working very hard to breathe & they got her right in. They did their best to make her feel comfortable, Us comfortable I should add. She ended up having to be transferred to downtown for critical care & everything went smoothly! The Doctor from their ER ended up rounding downtown & stopped in to check up on my little one! Such a surprise to see her! The compassion they showed us was so humbling! Top notch staff!

Went last Sunday with right ear clogged up, near deaf on that side, pain, dizziness. ER acted in disbelief that my ear bothered me. Flushed out the ear, but did nothing more to help. My hearing on that side has returned to normal, but I'm still experiencing dizziness and pain. I think I have an undiagnosed infection! The only medication I was prescribed was the brand name of the same generic over the counter ear drops I previously purchased from Marc's. Those drops failing to relieve my ear issues is the reason I went to the ER in the first place! Ugh.. I'm very disgusted!

St. John Medical Center was truly a great experience for me. I was promptly whisked through the ER, and found out to have appendicitis. The doctors were great, with fantastic bedside manner and communication, and i'm sure they saved my life. My appendix was necrotic and had perforated, so i'm sure some bacteria escaped into my abdominal cavity. The nurses were phenomenal as well, and very attentive. The hospital itself was very clean, and even the institutional food was excellent. Apparently UH Hospitals are 'hot on the heels' of The Cleveland Clinic, and frankly, personally I think their doctors and facilities are just as excellent and competent. Thank you St. John's Westshore Hospital.

Husband taken to UH Westshore, Westlake, Ohio emergency room due to a fall. Staff did a few tests but not enough. Next morning returned to emergency with three cracked ribs. Why wasn't this issue addressed on first visit. After second ER visit and several hours in ER my husband was admitted and received excellent care. ER is not the place to be!!! In addition, whoever submitted insurance claim made their submission to the WRONG carrier, a carrier we have not had for over a year. Upon admission to ER, correct insurance cards were provided. I'm currently attempting to get this insurance coverage issue resolved and have been on hold for 32 minutes. All I'm receiving is "I' m afraid all the operators are busy at the moment but please hold and you will be transferred when somebody becomes available". Again, poor service with billing. 26 minutes ON HOLD to get to a PERSON is ludicrous!

I was born here and had a fatal disease, the doctors here saved me from dying twice so here I am. I always come here if I have something wrong, whether it be food poisoning, fatal asthma issues, or anything else, the employees are always nice and made sure I was doing ok. They even check on family members and friends visiting too to make sure they’re comfortable. Also if your child is in the hospital and missing school you can pick up their work and if you or your child don’t understand the work then the doctors, nurses, and people who take children down to the play/game area will help your child as best as they can. Not to mention in my opinion the food was actually pretty good. Service is great and they change the sheets everyday during your stay. Only small complaint I have is the waiting takes a little while but afterwards they’ll quickly check your vitals and send you back into the rooms to be checked out. This is the only hospital I go to because they’re so good here.
