feedback about Yakima Regional Medical and Cardiac Center
Went to the ER a few weeks ago on a Wednesday night. Easy check in, no line and was seen promptly. Had a major infection and was admitted and had to stay in the hospital for 4 days. The nurses, doctors and all staff made me feel comfortable. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. I feel like just because this hospital is on the eastside of Yakima, it gets a bad rap, but they really do care about their patients. Great hospital.
Poor office management!!! My Dr had to fax info to them 4 times. Then they were suppose to call me but I ended up calling them month later. Then they cancelled an eco and had to reschedule so obviously I had to reschedule the follow up too, which I did but the lady never entered it because I just went to my appointment and its not scheduled. If i was a serious case I would be dead of a heart attack by now. Thank goodness i don't think I am that bad but I feel sorry for anyone that is.
My husband received great care during his heart surgery. The nurses were wonderfully helpful and friendly during his 7 day stay. Cafeteria not so great!
After 6 hours in the ER with a headache, elevated heart rate, extreme water retention, nausea, neck and back pain, dizziness, confusion and a hernia (that they told me was no big deal) I had still not seen a doctor. Rude and uncaring staff. Went elsewhere and got great care in under a half hour.
Update - 10-14-18 - after over a year and countless calls, the WRONG INSURANCE is still being billed.
Had a seizure one evening. They tried to hold me down and tie me up. They told my wife I was on PCP. She tried to tell them I have a seizure disorder and I needed Dilantin immediately to stop the seizures from happening. They continued to try and hurt me, with the help of a three hundred pound paramedic and security guard. They got beat up by someone having a seizure anyway. My wife finally reached my neurologist. And he ran from the clinic next door to stop the idiots in the emergency room from trying to hurt me anymore. They gave me a shot of Dilantin, and I stopped having seizures immediately. Blinked and asked for a sandwich because I was hungry. This is the RN in charge of the whole emergency room, and she doesn’t even know how to deal with someone having a seizure. The substandard care that a patient receives at this hospital is alarming. I have never been back. They are not in compliance with their charity either. What hospital is?
