Lightening fast and everyone was very kind. I usually go to the VA but had a dental abscess and was directed to hit the local ER. The speed was a treat. And the medication dispenser in the ER lobby was so nice. Thanks guys!
Never returning and will be contacting their patient care about charges. My fiance was rushed to the hospital with symptoms of a heart attack. His heart rate was over 100, his blood pressure over 140/80. Once they learned he had no insurance they proceed to take his blood, do a chest x ray. I then left to return home and fetch his phone, and shoes and socks for him while my mother stayed with him. While I was gone they proceeded to unhook him from all the machines, turned off the light and closed the curtain and door. They left him in the dark. Alone. In pain with nothing. My mother tried getting a hold of a nurse 4 separate times in an hour, but no one came.
While I was gone the nurse Nikki proceeded to question past scars on my fiances arm, and assumed him to be a violent individual. They then sedated him using an anti-anxiety. When I returned my fiance was left alone, unmonitored, and so out of it he couldn't even remember when the nurse had been in last. All he could remember was them asking him if they needed to restrain him. According to my mother he wasnt being violent, or disruptive.
When I returned I tried asking for the doctor. It took 45 minutes to get a hold of a nurse, who then told us she would fetch the doctor. During this time my fiance was writhing in pain so badly he flooded his iv with blood a second time. The doctor then came in, diagnosed him with chest pain brought on from anxiety, and sent him on his way with nothing.
Every experience people I've talked to have been unprofessional, borderline abusive. But today was the last straw. We went to Watertown where they found my fiance had indeed HAD A HEART ATTACK. We're now in the ICU for the night for observation.
If you have insurance you'll be treated like royalty. If you dont they throw you away like trash!
When I got to the ER Department it looked like they were closed there was a sign on the desk that said for assistance dial this particular phone number are you kidding me it's the ER. Emergency department is the worst ever been there 3 times in the last 3 days in extreme 10 + pain only to say they can't find anything wrong and all test results were fine. I should go see my regular doctor. I call the primary care physicians and they tell me I have to go back to the ER. Agree with other reviews that staff is unprofessional, rude and extremely slow not sure why I keep going back there I should just make the drive to Madison and go to a real Hospital! SIDE NOTE: TOOK THEM AN ENTIRE YEAR TO BILL FOR THE HORRIBLE ER SERVICE!!!
Came in extremely sick with massive stomach pain extremely dehydrated and many other issues. The incompetent "Doctor" sent me home 5 mins later telling me he "thinks" I have the flu. 3 hours later the pain got so unbelievable bad that I had to go to another ER by ambulance only to find out I need my appendix out. They also had to give me 4 bags of fluids before my organs started to shut down. If I was on my death bed I would NEVER return to this hell hole. I wouldn't even bring my dog there. This place is a joke. If you value your life PLEASE go elsewhere.
We can not thank and praise this hospital and their staff enough. This is a beautiful and super clean hospital with spacious rooms that are welcoming. Would have felt like a hotel if it wasn’t for the medical equipment! The staff is excellent, knowledgeable and well trained. They helped my mom, the patient, feel safe and comfortable. This was extra important to us as we were here from Boston for a family wedding. Mom’s issues have been ongoing and are complex. The doctors and nurses actually listened to us and did not run unnecessary tests. Mom received top notch care. Thank you Fort Memorial!
