Removing the old urostomy pouch

Remove your old pouch by peeling away the barrier and gently lifting the pouch while pressing down on the skin below the pouch. Dispose of the old pouch.

Step 2

Cleaning your skin and measuring your stoma

Clean your skin with a wet washcloth or wipe. Measure your stoma, if you need to.

Step 3

Cutting an opening in the barrier and exposing the adhesive

Cut an opening in the new barrier slightly larger than the stoma. Remove the paper backing from the barrier so that the adhesive is exposed.

Step 4

Attaching the new urostomy pouch

Position the opening in the barrier around the stoma and apply the sticky side to the skin.
