Worst hospital experience of my life. Everyone was rude. I had to go back two times in a day because their treatment was in adequate. They gave me an IV for no reason, they undressed my wound and left it off for me to bleed everywhere. They left the gauze taped to my bed. There were holes in the sheets. The nurse had no idea what my blood test were for. They ask for a urine sample and never gave me a cup. And then the nurse forgot I had an IV and ripped it out and did not dispose of it properly, he left it on the keyboard of the computer. They all need to be retrained about health code. The only decent person was registration.

I am extremely happy and proud to be calling this facility my new place of employment! I have lived in this area my entire life and BroMenn has an amazing reputation. While it is impossible to please everyone, I am confident that Advocate BroMenn has the best interest of its patients and their families as a top priority. I am looking forward to being able to making a positive impact in the lives of the people who I serve here.

Never coming back. Nurses are rude and laughed at my uncles lung cancer explaining loudly "this is why people shouldn't smoke!"
Loud enough for another nurse to run in and tell her to lower her tone. staff is very poor. When scheduling an appointment i was forwarded 3 times met by giggles. Doctors are almost never available.

Simply a terrible hospital. They were extremely rude over the phone and acted as if my call was an annoyance. Honestly, if someone in my family were having a heart attack I would drive the extra mile to a different hospital.

This was the worst hospital experience I have ever had. I worked in two nationally known hospitals as a social worker, so I am familiar with how this works. I was not able to brush my teeth for 3 days and was not allowed to bathe until the 4th day when I insisted in spite of opposition from nursing staff and arguing between nursing and OT. My blood-stained sheets were never changed during my 4 day stay. Dirty gowns and linens were on a shelf in my room during my entire stay. I was not able to summon my nurses' or aides' pagers because the prefixes were not provided on the white board. When I mentioned this, one of them replied with disdain, "Well all you have to do is dial 49 ahead of it." I was never told that, and it was not in any of the hospital literature I was given upon admission. In spite of providing Advance Directives and next of kin information at the pre-surgery class, my daughter's contact information and residence were totally wrong. There was NO WAY for anyone to contact her! The discharge planner NEVER discussed discharge plans with me in terms of inquiring about my home situation and who would care for me and where my family lives. In fact, she came to my room three times and TOLD me what SHE planned. As I was being taken to the entrance for discharge, I mentioned to the staff member that I was disturbed that my Advance Directives were not in my chart. Her response was, "Oh, that's no big deal. No one pays attention to those anyway." I am 65 years old and I CARE! I WILL NEVER USE THIS HOSPITAL AGAIN!
