Medical support was good, but they are antiquated as far as trying to pay your bill. No on-line bill payment available. So either call in from work, take time from work to drive down to pay, or hope the locals don’t steal your snail mail that has all your credit card info or check info. No good option.

I went to this hospital twice in a week for both my boys .(recently moved here from out of state) First time I went it was pretty fast. Got attended right away . Security’s at the time we’re just being so unprofessional, cursing and talking about their lives so loudly . Once I was seen by nurse in front then got sent to green zone (both times for kids) . My second time going for my son different security’s and both very professional, unlike our first visit . Our second visit was such a long wait . I was there for 6 1/2 hours just to get into a room. The waiting room was so packed with people . People were standing outside since there was no where to sit . It was a hectic . I felt like the staff kept calling the same people over and over again . Hopefully they can figure a way to make it more organized. Staff was friendly both times which is something I liked, everyone I met talked to my boys and tried to make them feel comfortable .

This garbage hole should be shut down! I went in for a lung biopsy in January and have never had such a bad experience!! The nurses were all talking loudly and having a great time without any consideration for all of the sick patients around them. The surgeon was a radiologist from Pasadena who managed to put a hole in my lung with the needle and after I was wheeled out of the surgery room my lung started to collapse. They rushed me back into surgery and without any anesthetic the surgeon started to cut my chest with his knife in order to insert tubes. I have never felt such pain in my life and the nurse criticized me for screaming so loud. She then complained about not being able to remove the tape which she had put on me. When the time came for me to be discharged this nurse refused to get me a wheel chair even though I could barely walk with all the pain. At that point my son told her to walk down the hall and get a wheel chair OR ELSE!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS POOR EXCUSE OF A HOSPITAL!!!

I'm a truck driver and I am out of town trying to get to my wife. She is in AVH right now!
I called to get information on my wife the nurse said And I quote "How are you her husband? it seems to me if you was her husband you should be here" And she hung up in my face...I'm hot!

Utilize at your own risk and peril.
The ER has become a ghetto free for all.

I have had 11 surgeries in the last 28 years here. My children were born here in the 80's.
I have a very large extended family, and have been in AVHMC over 200 times as a visitor or as a patient.
Over the decades this once outstanding hospital has gone from excellent to horrible.

There are some very good Doctors and Nurses who work here; and more than their share of quacks too, in all departments.

Use at your own risk!!!
If your health insurance covers Palmdale Regional, then I suggest you avoid AVHMC. I could write a book on the atrocities committed here, unfortunately.
My father was released from a vhmc on October 19th with pneumonia. He was discharged to a Convalescent Hospital with no orders for antibiotics, with no orders for oxygen either. My father died 48 hours later only after being returned to AVHMC via the ER/ICU Contemplating a malpractice lawsuit.

NOTE- to whoever replies to these comments, don't even bother; there's nothing you can say don't even bother. Don't bother giving me your patronizung tap dance with here's our phone number. You all had your chance and you blew it over and over again, don't even bother, because you will piss me off more than I already am.
The only good thing I can say about this place is the ICU / ER is outstanding. The ICU on the 2nd floor is a joke though.
