Spent hours in the emergency room after being brought in by ambulance for chest pain, they put me in a heart monitor room for hours and said they were going to put a heart monitor on me and 6 hours later still had not done it. My blood pressure was 217 over 119 and my chest and head were hearting so bad yet they never offered me water or anything I have no history of high blood pressure. I was there for over 9 hours. I took my IV out myself and walked out because I was so mad. They never got a cause of my pain and said I was going to be released as soon as they could do the paper work, after another hour and no paper work l walked out.

I went on Thursday 9/27 for 10 days of chest pain and other symptoms. The nurses were very rude, I let them know I have a history of anxiety but this pain felt different. The dr was okay, but said my heart is very healthy and not to come back until I am 30 years older. I use the app for my health updates, I asked the nurses if my lab and other results would be on my app and both nurses said I don’t know what you’re talking about, maybe you should read the paper about the app ( I already ha e and have my results from past visits to BHH) they made me feel like I was stupid. When I got home, the result were there on my app like I was hoping and they were denying. All results said I was seen for chest pain and was healthy. 9/29 I woke up to an email saying my health chart was updated... when I went in to view the update, it stated I had acute ischemic heart disease! This sent my anxiety through the roof and I went to mercy truxtun where they thoroughly examined me and said they have no clue why the BHH said I had the ischemic heart disease. I was sent home after hours of examination which calmed my anxiety thank goodness. I cannot believe the treatment I received at the Bakersfield heart hospital. Very rude, ignorant nurses. Maybe they should read the pamphlet about that damn app and not just put results of heart attacks for billing purposes or whatever reason they added that. If I was or did have a heart attack why would they send me home and update me two days after about it!!!! Horrible!!

I stayed one day at the Heart Hospital and it was great. The nurses were very friendly and informative. I enjoy talked with them. Dr. Fontaine did my UFE procedure and he was awesome. His team of nurses were very professional and friendly as well. Thank you. It was nice meeting everyone.

I was released ladt night after 5 days. I was so impressed the minute i got there. The Hall ambulance people (who were also wonderful) wheeled me in my room and Dr. Shah is sitting in my room waiting for me. The nurses were wonderful Kaitlyn who i bonded with, Carl, Arnel, Dalia, Honalet, Mel man lol, and any others that helped while i was there that i apologize for not remembering names. Thanks is not enough for what you all do but i thank you all dearly for your service not just to me but anyone. Everything was clean orderly and a great working system. The drs sometimes were long in showing up but I dont walk in their shoes or know how busy they are so i excuse them for that. But when they showed they were right on the ball. Again many heartfelt thanks to any and all that helped me.

Waiting time is insane. Too small an emergency room to actually count as such. Should be considered an urgent care at best. My mother was having serious complications from a previous surgery and needed immediate attention and while I understand that a small amount of staff can only do so much- this was ridiculous. They had her sitting in the waiting room with some oxygen- when her stats were at 88. No monitoring, no bothering on checking on her. I had to try to help my 54 year old mother to the bathroom with a wheelchair and a thing of oxygen without any help- the whole experience was hell. Ended up taking her out of the waiting room and bringing her to Memorial. Will never voluntarily go here again.
Nice phlebotomist tho.
