I find that people only write negative reviews so I wanted to post my positive one. Last month, I went to this ER and then was admitted for overnight observation. It was the first time that I have ever been in a hospital. The ER and hospital staff were friendly and professional. The facility was clean. I have only one small issue to get cleared up with the billing staff.

If I could give this hospital -2 stars it still would not suffice. My husband spent 2 days getting prepped for gallbladder removal only to be told he didn't need surgery (from a doctor he had never even spoken to) and better yet she wasn't responsible for whomever said it and she doesn't work for the hospital. HE WAS PREPPED FOR TWO DAYS PEOPLE. YOUR ENTIRE STAFF continually prepared him/our family for this surgery. UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They sat in his room pointing fingers and asking my husband which tests were done because they didn't have it noted on his chart. NOBODY knows what the other is doing and I find it fascinating they are in charge of peoples care.

You would think it was a one time issue, however, I was there not long ago for the same problem, brought in by ambulance 5 times in 7 days to be told 'nothing wrong' and on the 5th day was admitted because my gallbladder had 'disintegrated'. Awesome! Oh, I forgot to mention on one of my visits to their ER, Dr Coney, refused to give me pain medication. I overheard her telling the nurse she thought I was an IV drug user!!!!!!!! I read in another review she had assumed the same of another woman. UNBELIEVABLE. Completely reckless. They had pulled enough blood during my multiple visits that you would think SOMEONE would have checked for that at some point. Complacency at its finest! Meanwhile, while I was waiting in the surgical unit, they had checked my potassium levels were dangerously low and realized someone forgot to give it to me. If i had the surgery I would have died. Was then sent upstairs to my room and had to wait another day. The doctor in the surgical unit says 'what, you don't like our 2 star rating'? This hospital is a complete nightmare and there is absolutely zero communication within staff. Not to mention they are ALL completely disrespectful at every possible turn. This place need to close before somebody dies there. I ended up discharging my husband and bringing him to another hospital where he was checked in and schedule to have his gallbladder removed. Save yourself the trouble and drive the extra 20 minutes to keep your loved ones safe.

Was just told his gallbladder is EXTREMELY inflamed and has golf ball size stones. The doctor at BFPG, the same one who barged in his room stating he doesn't need surgery, said his gallbladder was not inflamed. It will be removed early in the morning. Thank you once again Bayfront PG. Again, complacency at its finest!

I have a client in hosp. The I.V. was improperly not taped at all and was hanging from arm. And was leaking down arm into a skin tear bandage that appeared after she was transferred to chair the day before.nurse was told that changing and toileting was needed. She proceeded to help fix all issues except toileting. Said she would find someone.20 min later I had to put call light on she came to help 10 min later. Improperly 1/2 cleaned the person. The pillow was soiled she put a new pillow case on it.hmmmm. ALL this after several other complaints of finding soiled bed on daily bases. And the bedpan not being cleaned and certain lazy people taking short cuts on doing care. There are some CNA"s and RN"s who care and go the distance. The one's who don't make it had for the whole hospital. I would not recommend this hospital for my dog. People who work in this profession should treat and act the way they would want to be treated, because after all your bound to end up in the hospital at some point and what you give comes back to you. Human kindness and care can go a very long way if we all just try. Leave the profession if your not going to give your 100.

Worst care ive ever gotten from a hospital. The left hand doesnt know what the right hand is doing. Thank God for the nurse that came in at night she was the only one who knew her stuff and she got me started on the correct care plan. I would NEVER recommand this place to anyone. It's a joke im transfering too a place that actually listens and cares about their patients. No one shoukd have to be in pain and suffer. Its their job to take care of their patients. I wishing I could add pictures.

I wish I could give this place a negative rating!! Between the way my husband was treated In the ER and them misdiagnosing my friend’s baby telling her that her daughter was non contagious when she actually had RSV which is extremely contagious!!
Staff is incompetent and unprofessional.
I hate that it’s the closest hospital!!
