The emergency department is a real hit or miss, mainly with a miss. It's either completely empty, or it's completely full. If it is full, get ready for hours of wait, even for visitors. The care varies on what doctor you get, and you may meet several doctors in the same visit, but rarely know who they are. And just when you think you're getting somewhere with your care, you have to endure registration before they ever treat you. Today, it's so busy a nurse had to do a roll call of patients to see who is here and who left already. It's one of the better hospitals in the area but definitely needs improvement. Recommend but only if you have insurance and are patient.

The patient care here is very thoughtful. The nurses appear to have a great system, with good bedside manners, and a solid transition system. I'm a little concerned with the lack of security in ICU. That's why it gets 4 stars instead of 5. This hospital is beautiful aesthetically inside. The cafeteria food is actually delicious with good choices for visitors. The chapel and gift shop are a little too isolated, but the chapel is peaceful with gorgeous stained glass. The entrance at night on the left, when looking from the outside, closes in the evening, and there didn't appear to be a notice about it, so if you're visiting into the evening, park toward the right side. The player piano needs to take a break after an hour or so... It gets to be too much when loved ones must wait downstairs for extended periods of time. May you and your loved ones be blessed.

After working in the Emergency Medicine Arena for over 21 years, I was recently hospitalized after a shoulder surgery. I can say beyond a shadow of a doubt had this institution been going through a Joint Commision visit this facility would have been shut down after the negligence displayed in patient care. Once I receive my paperwork from Patient Relations I plan to forwarded a complete synopsis of the hellish care I received. I encourage everyone I know to stay as far away from this facility as possible.

My husband fell, broke 3 lower ribs and punctured his lung. After great care at another hospital, he had to be sent here for more advanced medical attention. From the time he was received into the Trauma Dept until his discharge from the 5th floor, he had EXCELLENT care. Everyone was professional but extremely kind. All the Physicians and Nursing staff addressed his severe pain. I especially noticed them as a TEAM. X-ray Tech's, BS and W patient care very through. He said the food was very good. Once transferred to the 5th floor, same great care. They always answered any questions or concerns I had, as well. Thank you to everyone at BS and W for sharing your care. I want to also add, the Valet Parking was wonderful. Help me out each day. Young men very pleasant. God Bless. Guy and Penny Orr

The WORST hospital ever! Waited 6 hrs to be told nothing was wrong when I actually had bronchitis! The nurses acted like they had never been sick or even cared if you were seen. They all had stank better than you attitudes and if you don't have insurance then good luck getting any help at all. They don't treat you like a human here.
