We had our baby at burdett a few days ago and had a positive experience. All the nurses were so nice and helpful. They respected our wishes and supported our goals. As a first time mom i needed support to establish breastfeeding: all nurses and lactation consultant were readily available to help. My doctor was great and so was the pediatrician. He took time to answer any questions that we had. The discharge process was fast.

Had our baby via C-section this last Tuesday, and stayed the full three days. Doctors and nurses were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable with all of our questions and concerns. This was our third child and we had chosen to go with formula feeding, and had brought our own formula to start her off with (BJ's version of Enfamil Premium; very good stuff). The resident pediatrician had to sign off on it per policy, and did so without any issues, and the succeeding nurses were also very supportive of it. My only gripe is that the parking garage is a bit of a walk from the Birth Center. Small potatoes...

Private rooms, very clean, privacy and delicious meals. We've been to Burdett for each of our three children. It has always been a very positive experience. The staff is non-intrusive and respected our privacy and intimate moments. The food has gotten much better due to change in catering. Depending on how busy it is when you come in will depend on which room you get. But even the smaller rooms are comfortable and clean. Some have mentioned the long wait times to sign and get released. We have experienced this once, but that somewhat depends on when the Pediatrician on call has the chance to do so. It's really no different from Albany Med, and we've waited for up to 8 hours to get released from there before.

Everything was good until we had to wait HOURS just to sign discharge papers.

Could not have asked for better care in the delivery of my daughter. Due to premature rupture of membranes as well as jaundice, we were there for a full five days and felt super supported the whole time. Top notch nurses and great lactation support services. Food was good too.
