feedback about Canonsburg General Hospital
Husband was taken by ambulance to csbg hospital with chest pains, could not barely move or breathe well. After chest xray, blood work, and other tests he was discharged within 1 hour of arriving with no diagnosis. Doctor said everything looked great. Was told to take tylenol for discomfort. Was still in pain when we left. Could not sleep all night. I recieved a voicemail the next day from ER doctor with pressing news and to please call ER asap. Called and doctor said someone took a second look and my husband has a collapsed lung and to return to ER immediately. Ended up having to have chest tube put in, not once, but twice because first one was not in properly to inflate lung, taken to ICU and then transferred to another hospital to see thoracic surgeon. Furious that my husband was sent home night before with 40% collapsed lung and they said everything looked great. Doctor from other hospital said it was obvious on xray that lung was collapsed and shocked that they sent him home the night prior! Would never recommend going here again!!!
Honestly this experience was worse than Washington Hospital the nurse named Kim and the other nurse were extremely rude!!! Sorry to interrupt your social session at the nurses station to be seen. And to almost chart a false reading for a babies heartbeat and be caught by another employee should be a reason for termination if you can’t do your job then quit!!! I will be contacting someone higher up about this!!!
I very nice hospital. I came here as a followup of my left humerus surgery. Doctor, Nurse and everyone is very helpful and provides prompt service. I would like to recommend Canonsburg hospital to everyone!!
My husband went to the ER for severe back and neck pain. He had shingles a few months earlier and he needed to know if the two were connected. He had to request an x ray the Dr did not offer. After the x ray he received a muscle relaxant which did not help. The Dr did NOT come talk to him about the results. An aide of some kind came with a Rx and discharge papers and said to follow up with our family doctor. We know there are serious emergencies but a diagnosis from the Dr. should be expected.
Great group of nurses and docs in the ED.
