Let me start by saying I bring my partner here weekly to get water that has built up in his belly drained off. We go into the ultrasound department to do this. Every experience up to the last two times has been horrible. I was convinced staff were just permanently unhappy. The doctors doing the poke were all great. But the visits still were mediocre. Until the last two times. These were hands down the best visits to date. And it was due to a new young lady in the department. Her name is Mandy. From the start to finish she has always been a joy. She always smiles, explains everything throughly and makes sure we get what we need. And all with a kindness and warmth we have never gotten before. We always cross our fingers that we get to have her. Now for the next part. I only gave it 4 stars because of the experience we have with the nurses that come in and give my partner his doses of a protein infusion after the ultrasound exam. Never do we get any of them walking in with a smile. Never introduce themselves to us. One who wears glasses with long dark hair didn’t even tell him she was going to stick him. She barely said one word to any of us. They make it terribly uncomfortable in the room. I suggest maybe some customer service or compassion classes for them. We are grateful that Capital is an option. And hope to see more of Mandy and employees like her!

My gran was transferred here for surgery and has had terrible experience with most of the nurses! They are rude, talk down to her, and treat her like trash.. and this is just from observing for 2 hrs! Her surgeon and surgery was great and recovery doc was nice and informative but some of these nurses need some retraining! 😠

If I could give 0 stars I absolutely would. I have a friend this young woman and her father live in the state of Washington and this is the only hospital in reach in case of emergency. Her father suffers horribly with epilepsy he’s on all kinds of medication for it but it’s not enough because he keeps getting worse. He suffers from numerous seizures a day. He’s constantly vomiting his medication which results in him having to come and attempt to seek help from this awful hospital. This man and his daughter have been kicked out one to many times for no validated reason They have kicked him out without receiving any medical attention ,without seeing a doctor ,or even a specialist. They’ve kicked this man out numerous times without even being able to finish his IV. Take note that he has medical insurance But they refuse to treat him without invalidated reason now we are under the impression that maybe it has something to do with race which is totally irrelevant this father and his daughter are of Korean decent. He’s a single father with 5 children that his eldest teenage daughter is responsible for. This is unacceptable. More action will be taken for this injustice and violation to basic human rights.

I cannot day enough about the staff or the facility. Everybody was nice and very supportive. We just had our first child there and the experience was great! The doctors were very supportive and straight forward about my situation and handled it with care. The nurses were there for me every time I called, they helped with my baby a lot and I am very happu and satisfied about my experience there. I will definitely deliver all my babies there! I highly highly recommend it :)

Capital’s unlawful collections practices prevented thousands of Washington’s neediest patients from receiving charity care,” Attorney General Bob Ferguson said. “I am committed to ensuring that all Washingtonians, regardless of income, have access to affordable care.” all they care about is money, not patients physical health.
