My wife recently had surgery here and she received great care. The facility is really clean and ALL of the staff was super friendly and helpful. We spent three nights on the 4th surgical floor and had excellent care the entire time. I would recommend this hospital to anyone planning to have surgery.

The entire ER team was kind, responsive, and thorough. Have been there when they were overwhelmed. They have a canny ability to triage and monitor after initial assessment when you're sent back to the waiting area. One time I left before seeing the Dr. and I received a kind letter to inform me of a lab result that needed follow up. That's spot on!

My husband arrived at 4am on a Thursday morning via ambulance with heart attack symptoms. I arrived via automobile 15 minutes later. Upon entry I ask about my husbands whereabouts and was told "he is getting settled, they will come get you when he is ready" with very little human emotion. After 20 minutes and hearing this robotic reply 2 more times I became adamant about knowing where my husband is and saying he needs to know I am here! Score! I was now allowed into the inner sanctum of the ED. The treatment my husband received was top notch. After a few diagnostic tests he was moved to the Observation Unit where his treatment was even better! The nurses were friendly, kind, caring, knowledgeable and professional. When something was requested they made it happen, if of course allowed by the doctor. My husband spent 2 days here and I recommend this hospital to anyone with an actual "emergency". I believe most negative reviews are from people who don't understand the meaning of Triage in an ED and who could have been better served at an urgent care. My husband and I both thank each and everyone of you at this hospital, yes even the robotic gal behind the ED front desk.

They aren’t slow because of triage or because they are an ER, they are just slow. They bring you back for one test at a time instead of seeing you from start to finish. Feels like you’re getting lost in the system. Two stars because everyone is nice, but nice isn’t making me feel better 5 hours deep on a Monday.

My wife and I are working with the OBGYN group in Pineville. Doctors and staff are doing a very nice job. On another topic, the Billing Department's incompetence knows no bounds. We have on many occasions (at-least 4) attempted to gain clarity on outstanding bills and payment schedules. Each time, we are given different information, with different invoice totals. Like most medical institutions, the “business” side of things at Atrium is a disaster. I can’t blame the employees we speak to, as it is managements fault they are insufficiently trained. Is there anyone at Atrium that can have an intelligent conversation, with accurate information, to allow my wife and I to gain clarity and resolution? Looking forward to a response.
