Just came through for a hysterectomy. Everyone from the front door, registration, to the surgery prep, all nurses, doctors, anesthesiologists, the surgical staff, again all nurses.... FANTASTIC!!! I was taken very well care of. They cater to you and patient care and comfort is top priority! We had all 3 of our children here and it was just as fabulous then. We've been in and out of here for 8 years now! Dr. Garcia was amazing. We love Sonja at registration. And nurses in Maternity who took care of me after surgery...Darleen, Laurie, Dawn, and Charlotte....I think those names are correct. You made my stay just right!
This hospital has taken a turn for the worst. It is evident to patients and employees that atrium has put profit before patient care. After working as an RN at this location for 5+ years, I could see some of the best nurses and doctors getting burned out with the constant focus from administration on the bottom line.Glad to have taken my experience to Novant where patients HEALTH is a priority and does NOT come before profit.
My adult daughter was just operated on yesterday for an appendectomy. Her Surgeon was Dr. William Paul Banish. His bedside manner was excellent and he explained everything thoroughly as well when she was in recovery he told us what he did and was so comforting.
Job well done Dr. Banish.
The staff was excellent too!
Bless you all
I had an absolutely amazing experience with everyone at CMC/Atrium Health Pineville - starting with the ER and triage staff and including the emegency surgery team. At times they were waiting on me, not the other way around. I was in and out with pretty major surgery within just a few hours from showing up at the ER. Super grateful to the nurses, doctors, surgeons, and staff.
If you are having an emergency do not come here. Walked in with severe abdominal pain, shortness of breath was asked to sit in waiting room after taking insurance information. Only after several requests to be seen and requesting triage was I admitted to triage. I have worked in numerous medical settings and the level of service and patient care was a joke. Thank goodness I was not having a heart attack. It was only after asking for a patient advocate did we get any quality of care. The PA was professional and did a good job. The nursing staff was almost rude and seemed totally uninterested in providing any level of care. The nurse could not get a line started and had to have someone else come in. He was professional and did a good job. If this had been a heart attack I doubt I would have survived. This er needs to be thourghly evaluated and changes need to be made! When someone enters an emergency room with heart attack symptoms they should immediately be evaluated not told to take a seat in the waiting room, where we stood for over 20 minutes repeatedly asking for assistance.
