This USE TO BE better than national park .... Now I have no clue what the heck is wrong but this much of a delay in the ER IS insane for a WED. I have been here 2 times in the last year and the first time was for exstreme dehydration. It took me 4 hours to produce a stool sample cause after being in the ER waiting room for 2 hours I was finally beyond dry. Couldn't keep ANY fluids down and got stuck for an IV which I NEVER got bet they charged my insurance for it though. Now I am waiting in the ER due to issues with a breast reduction so far 4 hours ... Seems like they could BETTER staff their ER. One of the nurses working admittance is BEYOND rude don't know where this guy thinks he is working but he just got here WITH an attitude.

I know that everyone has a different experience with any hospital. But this is my hometown, and I grew up around these hospitals in the Hot Springs area. When this hospital was St. Joseph's, it was an excellent facility. It still is. And there are great people who work here. However, the ER is a joke. It's filthy and unorganized. Also, my 80 year old mother was hospitalized with cellulitis and was not given any home medication to ensure the infection stayed gone once she was released. She was also told about the 'policy' that informs patients of their classification (inpatient to observation) and was told she may be billed even though she has Medicare and a secondary insurance policy from the state of AR. The case worker was just doing her job, however this is completely unnecessary. We have had several experiences (unfortunately) in the past few years with hospitalization, and overall, I would not choose this hospital at all anymore. I am sure that Sister Warner is turning over in her grave at the changes and treatment given here.

Why are wait times so long???
As a business person, I understand the need to maximize profits. However, CHI seems to be maximizing profits strictly at the consumer's expense. Efficiency of office staff seems to of little importance here. Why was I told to show up at 7:30am for an MRI when the only thing to happen within the first hour and a half was for them to take my name and my method of payment? This isn't a 'one time' or 'unique' occurrence with CHI. I have experienced what I see as unnecessary wait times several times with CHI.
This isn't a problem unique to CHI Saint Vincent Medical Center. This seems to be a standard in most hospitals and doctor's offices. What can we, as consumers, do? Consumers wouldn't put up with ridiculous wait times from other businesses... why do we accept this treatment from doctors and hospitals? I will do everything I can to ensure that CHI has received the last dollar from me and my insurance company.

First thing I want to address is that I REALLY respect and appreciate the staff in this facility. My best friend in this world was recently shot several times and he was rushed here. They wasted NO time. They got in there and did what they had to do, and because of what they did they saved my best friends life. He was critical for awhile then they gave him a regular room there and made sure he was checked on regularly. They were very careful with him and were extremely friendly as well as understanding. I owe these men and women the kind of thing money can't buy and I want them to know I respect every single one of them. On a side note, the place was also very clean which was really pleasing to see. They couldn't have done better in any way. God bless the men and women who do what they do in places like this. Shout out to nurse Wendy (hope I got the name correct) she put up with me going up there and seeing them every night for at least a week and she was always really nice. And after all their hard work, my friend gets to go home agian now. 👍 keep up the great work, much love. 👍

Very dirty. The nurses on the 4th floor that took care of my grandmother were wonderful however, the cleanliness of the room was lacking in every corner. Layers of dust on the walls and stickiness in the floor.
