Why are wait times so long???
As a business person, I understand the need to maximize profits. However, CHI seems to be maximizing profits strictly at the consumer's expense. Efficiency of office staff seems to of little importance here. Why was I told to show up at 7:30am for an MRI when the only thing to happen within the first hour and a half was for them to take my name and my method of payment? This isn't a 'one time' or 'unique' occurrence with CHI. I have experienced what I see as unnecessary wait times several times with CHI.
This isn't a problem unique to CHI Saint Vincent Medical Center. This seems to be a standard in most hospitals and doctor's offices. What can we, as consumers, do? Consumers wouldn't put up with ridiculous wait times from other businesses... why do we accept this treatment from doctors and hospitals? I will do everything I can to ensure that CHI has received the last dollar from me and my insurance company.
First thing I want to address is that I REALLY respect and appreciate the staff in this facility. My best friend in this world was recently shot several times and he was rushed here. They wasted NO time. They got in there and did what they had to do, and because of what they did they saved my best friends life. He was critical for awhile then they gave him a regular room there and made sure he was checked on regularly. They were very careful with him and were extremely friendly as well as understanding. I owe these men and women the kind of thing money can't buy and I want them to know I respect every single one of them. On a side note, the place was also very clean which was really pleasing to see. They couldn't have done better in any way. God bless the men and women who do what they do in places like this. Shout out to nurse Wendy (hope I got the name correct) she put up with me going up there and seeing them every night for at least a week and she was always really nice. And after all their hard work, my friend gets to go home agian now. 👍 keep up the great work, much love. 👍
One of the best hospitals in which I’ve ever had to stay. Everyone (from the lady who cleaned my room to my neurosurgeon) was extremely kind and responsive to my needs. Saw a negative comment about the food. I thought it was good and really enjoyed being able to order what I wanted and when I wanted it. Definitely recommend this hospital!
The hospital has no clue about what your going through. When you go to the hospital you will see a hospitalist who has no clue what is going on with you. You also may see a different hospitalist everyday that you are there. The primary doctor isn’t even involved when you go to the hospital. I had blood test after blood test and nothing else. No results were determined either. Housekeeping is understaffed and in the two different visits to the hospital my bed lining was changed 1 time. My floor was never cleaned and I was on 2 different floors. I won’t be back.
Emergency Room is a long wait. This is the worst Hospital since Saline Memorial Hospital! I will never ever go back! The Doctor and Nurse should be more worried about treating the illness they were admitted for and take a person hurting more serious; otherwise look into a person's medical history and you might find they are being honest and serious about pain and not just a JUNKIE looking for a fix!!😣
