feedback about Cobleskill Regional Hospital
I have had to bring in my Fiancé twice just to get Fluids and I have had to spend 45+ minutes in the waiting room on a dead night. Then spend 3 hours waiting for a nurse or doctor to check on her. Terrible just terrible go to Cooperstown or Oneonta if you actually need help!
If I could I’d choose less then one star. This place literally almost killed my dad recently. He was in such bad pain and this hospital accused him of being drug seeking, thankfully the paramedics that brought my dad in said something so finally the hospital did blood work, turns out my dad had his bowel burst which caused a massive abscess and was causing him to go septic,if they had done something sooner when he went there with pain then he wouldn’t be sitting here with a tube hanging out of his abdomen. This is not the only issue with this hospital,I also went here myself last week to bring my one year old because she had a 103 temp, wouldn’t eat or drink and was miserable. I waited with a fussy one year old for hours in a small room,I was about to leave and the nurse accused me of going against medical advice, finally dr came in and told me that in no way would a high temp hurt anyone and just sent us home. Also before all this I had to use the restroom and didn’t want my one year old in a hospital bathroom so I asked someone to watch her for a min and got the “you can give us a minute” their very rude and very uneducated in many many ways. Don’t go here unless you plan to be sent home while almost dying.
I couldn't have asked for a more professional, compassionate and caring staff during my recent visit. Everyone really helped make me feel as comfortable and safe as possible. THANK YOU!
Just left here....I went in after being sick for a few days complaining that I was having a hard time breathing....3 hours later, 2 chest x rays, and 4 different tests and they sent me home without antibiotics. The registration staff was wonderful, as was the x ray technician, but the nurses and the doctors were rude! Being a college student when I get sick, I don't have much of a choice on where to go, but taking a trip out to Albany sounds much more worth it than going back here.
In regards to Bassett Womens Health at the Cobleskill Location:
Extended wait periods on the phone. Exceptionally long hold time only to be told the scheduling department was not available. As a new patient I was not concerned that it was several weeks prior to being seen. However, when I had a more urgent need they were not able to schedule me for 6 weeks! While this would be an acceptable wait time for someone who needed an annual exam, it is not acceptable for an established patient experiencing concerning symptoms. There was also no telephone triage to determine if I needed to be evaluated sooner. I was also disappointed with the provider, who I feel did not take my concerns seriously and made assumptions about my lifestyle that were both erroneous and hurtful. The only benefit is that it is in the hospital, so if you need lab work or imaging done it can be done at the same location. Very disappointed and ultimately had to find another provider.
