I am from out of town and unfortunately i had an allergy episode and i was brought up here the ER was great but unfortunately for me they kept here and let me tell you the nurse i have is rude, very slow and doeant want to explain anything. I cannot believe she is a nurse. The floor is not even full and she acts like shes over worked. I have to wait to go to the bathroom for very long periods of time until they decide to come in and help me. I cant wait to leave!
I wish it was an option to give this hospital no stars . Straight up rude . I miss work due to getting my grandma discharge, it was an lady that walk out of the nursing administration office , I ask if I can get a work note due to missing work . She gave me the worst attitude ever saying no we don’t do that type of stuff. I swear I just have to pray on it . But I will never forget this young lady at the first desk who gave me another option and I appreciate her .
I absolutely love this hospital. The Dr I seen is very professional and treated me with excellent care. I never waited long in the ER and the nurse taught me a trick in regards to the IV. If I could give more stars I would. The only hospital I go to for emergency care and I don’t live close but I travel because I know they are going to take care of me.
I was having chest pain all day long and finally decided to go check it out, I was on my way to Hollycross hospital in Silver springs but changed my mind because of the 30mns drive and also due to the fact that almost everyone goes there ,I knew I would have been there for at least 3 hours; so I decided to go to Lanham
.free parking and from the moment I stepped in,I filled out some forms and was seen very quickly, they made sure to check for every single thing, they did an xray, drew blood, kept me on a monitor to make sure that everything was fine... finally doctor told me I was fine and prescribed me some ibuprofen and anti inflammatory pain medicine to help with pain in my chest and that I should follow up with my own doctor ..it was very pleasant and like I said everyone was super nice..the same doctor called me two days later to see how I'm feeling ! I do not plan on going to the hospital for really another 150 years 🤣,but will definitely go back for any other health related issues that needs immediate attention...NOW I'M WAITING FOR THAT BILL TO COME 😫
This hospital needs a few upgrades. The two stars is for the doctor and nurse I interacted with. They seem professional, kind, and attentive.
The room my brother was in, was not at all comfortable to someone being admitted and having to be away from home. Having to face the three walls and a window facing brick. The television did not work for the entire three days. Room furniture old, room dull, and let's not get into the cafeteria. The limited hours and no options except for an all day exposed salad bar for " vegan or plant base" individuals.
Told my parents, next time make the drive over to Holy Cross. Sad to say, the exterior of the doctors community hospital, and entry way are the only decent and clean areas of the hospital.
Hope never to return, unless for an actually emergency and the option is not available to go anywhere else.
