My wife has been working there as a nurse for 4 years, she left a few months ago and I can tell you that she has been harrassed because she was an outsider and she was doing her job properly, .The most unprofessional Hospital and dangerous that we've been working with in 23 years carrer
kind staffs, reasonable price without insurance.
The wait has been horrible. Spent 4 1/2 hours in the waiting room with excruciating pain. It would of been great if they could give anyone an expected wait time. Because I would of gone to Abilene to receive expedited care. The nurse is unpersonable and rolled his eyes at me when I told him what was going on. Now I understand that ERs get busy and things take priority, but it is every unorganized, and very slow all together. I also don't appreciate how they lack access to hand sanitizer to insure I do not get the flu from the person next to me...
The first time I was there i had to be wheeled into the Er after collapsing at home and at work. My husband was trying to tell them that something wasn’t right and they were just ignoring us. I started having a grand mal seizure right at their front desk and we got them on video just walking away. My muscles got tight, I started having convulsions and I lost my vision and couldn’t hear anything.... I was whimpering for someone to help me, but they simply told me I was hyperventilating. (I have panic disorder: I know what hyperventilating is, and this was a seizure.) . After they finally admitted me I was still extremely unstable and was still asking them to help me while they were completely ignoring me. My husband was the one who helped me thru the seizure and the aftermath, not the ER staff. I was running a fever of 103 after the seizure and was extremely cold. My husband asked for a sheet and when they didn’t bring one he mentioned in to a nurse named Davonna, who promptly called the police on him! All he asked for was a sheet, and he was very calm and collected, even considering that he had just saved his wife’s life in front of the ER staff, plus he was wrangling our very upset 10 month old baby girl. None of this seemed to matter to davonna, who continued to refuse to bring us a sheet, even after taking my temp several times. She brought a sheet after the cops showed up. The cops said that there was nothing they could do as my husband was not violating any rules and was not being disruptive or even disrespectful!
I fell asleep for a bit. When I woke up it took about20 mins to get a response after ringing for a nurse to take me to the bathroom. When somebody did take me, they left me at the door and left me to find my way back by myself. I made it back to my bed okay, but no one ever came back around to hook up my IV! When she came to discharge me she said “okay let’s take ur iv out” and was very surprised to see that she had forgot to hook it back up. The iv was a deal, too, as she put it almost an inch below my elbow, had trouble getting it in, and literally RIPPED it out. I mean, she got her fingers under the sticky part of the bandage that holds the iv on, and she literally said “don’t look” and yanked up and pulled the whole thing off/out in one motion. It bled like crazy..... she had a blood-soaked washcloth when it was over.
I took my daughter there with the flu and I high fever a few days later and didn’t see a doctor for 3 hours.
Doctor Osama was also especially rude and snappy.
I will never go there again. Doctor Robert Campbell was the only one who was helpful, and I honestly wish he wasn’t affiliated with this horrible sham of a hospital.
It was clean an friendly staff.
