feedback about Edward Hospital
Let’s face it, no one likes going to the ER but at Edwards Hospital it was an incredible experience. Every single person was extremely helpful and most importantly expeditious which we truly appreciated it. We could tell they respected our time and were very helpful and informative along the way. Dr Mark Batts was BEYOND wonderful. What a great doctor- from his empathy to respect to being a problem solver not to mention his excellent bedside manner. Amber the nurse was fantastic too. Thanks for making the ER trip much better than expected !
All the money was spent on the decoration and not on the staff. A nurse didn't even realize my mom was having a stroke after her hip surgery. He thought it was normal for somebody to act like that.... She only went down hill from there and passed away just over a year later. Take your loves ones to Good Sam in Downers Grove if it's not an emergency.
$3,387.45 bill in the mail after my insurance paid for around $2,000! Just to tell me i had a kidney stone that I have to pass on my own?!?! They put me through a big fancy cat scan machine or whatever it is called.. Everyone ive talked to about my condition told me they have had an ultra sound done but never a cat scan. I honestly believe these hospitals are all about the money! No one cares or looks out for the patient anymore it’s all about the $$$..
Visit was hampered a bit because of construction going on; however, the personal assistance was great. A visitor needs help in finding where to go and volunteers are ready to help. Personnel in all departments were friendly and helpful.
On multiple occasions I've visited the Occupational Health department for work physicals, TB skin tests, and immunization boosters. On each occasion I waited at least 30 minutes after my appointment time to be seen. Last time, my appointment was scheduled for 8:00am and I wasn't seen by the doctor until 9:50am, and nobody apologized or even commented about the lateness. My physical was to be sent over to my place of work. After about 3 weeks of it not being sent over, I called to ask why. Nobody knew why and again, nobody apologized. They said they would send it over. Another week passed and it still didn't get sent. My supervisor finally called and two days after that, it finally sent - over a month after my original appointment. Thank goodness this paperwork wasn't required before I could start my job!
