feedback about Effingham Hospital
As I entered the clean facility I was greeted by a smiling face asking how she could help me. I was directed to the appropriate place where I met Sean in MRI. He was patient and explained the documents I was asked to sign according to my understanding. Sean was patient and took the time to build trust. This environment helped me to feel safe and I was able to go through the entire 45 minutes in the MRI without fear for the first time Ever!
The entire staff was wonderful when I went for surgery. From registration to the OR nurses- Marti, Hayley, Michelle and Brandi, anesthesiologist Dr Daniel and his nurse Mary Claire were amazing, and Dr Prather and Leslie were great also. Everyone was so kind and helpful they made a not so great time an enjoyable experience. Zero complaint from me.
2018 - I went to the emergency room because I broke my foot. There was no surgical procedures done. However, I was billed an additional $800 for a 'non-existent' surgical procedure. This place is a joke!!! Scamming people out of hard earned money. I will be filing a complaint with the Georgia Medical Board.
2013 -I went in a 3 am because of severe back pain. The doctor finally came in to see me. He was obviously sleeping and in a hurry to get back to his bed. He asked me some questions and then, nothing. They did no xrays and he told me to go see an Orthopedic doctor on Monday......
On the flip side. The Nurses were nice courteous. The staff in general are very professional. The care is basically a joke.
I went here this morning for a full MRI.
The sign in process was very quick. The lady that did the intake was very efficient & helpful.
The technition who did the actual test was very friendly & patient with me.
It was the most pleasant experience that I could have imagined. If I could give 10 stars I would.
This place has a very low sense of urgency to be an emergency room. Nurses were very nonchalant and had really snobby attitudes. No attention to the patients in the triage rooms. Had to go out and grab nurse after not seeing anyone in over an hour. You hear plenty chatting in the hall but they act like they been checking on other patients. If you're ill I would definitely take my chances and go a little further to Savannah unless you want to spend your whole day in the triage room. Nurses Stephanie and Christina have other things to do then see about patients. Hope management takes them through customer service training so they understand the value of the people they service. Just my view!
