We have always used this hospital for our family, mostly because the wait time is vastly less. Sure we've had a doctor or two over the year we did not like at all, but the staffing has always been great. The reason I'm writing this review is because of our most recent visit. We went in on Wednesday because my daughter had been sick with her stomach and fevers but had developed the chills and we feared it was flu. Let me tell you, they made her a priority and ran a whole battery of tests to make sure they didn't miss anything. They tested her for flu twice, cause the first negative looked positive after sitting for a bit. It was negative the second go round too. They took no chances with her. She ended up having pneumonia, a double ear infection and her oxygen went low and unstable while there. She had to be admitted to Children's hospital, and Ellwood had done such a thorough job of checking into every possible issue that Children's didn't have to do anymore testing when we got there. She received the very best care from everyone, and I couldn't be more thankful. So as long as Ellwood is open, it will remain the hospital we choose for our family.

after a recent diagnosis i have had quite a few emergency department visits and work in a hospital myself. there are no words for the incredible kindness and compassion every single person that came into my room had. they genuinely cared and did everything they could to make me comfortable while keeping a smile on my boyfriend and i’s face. easily the best hospital experience i have ever had.

Just Me

I was in a vehicle accident a little while ago and as the fire department was removing the door in order to get me out I told them that I didn’t want to go to ECH (I was in extreme pain but still refused that hospital). They told me ECH was not even an option and took me to Jameson.

I took my sister her for some bloodwork just moved here almost a year been there for emergency but this was just bloodwork wow the lady at registration was so rude she demanded a paperwork and when she was told there was no paperwork she was told the doctor faxed it and the lady called the lab and without even giving a name was told they don't have one the lady got really rude so we left and called the hospital and asked to speak to someone about a complaint we were told there is no one available wow never go there again
