I cannot say enough good things about the staff at the Inpatient Unit where my mother-in-law was a recent Hospice patient. Emerus was responsible for the 24 hour care, while the Hospice Team came in and ordered the medication. The Nurses and Doctors there are familiar with Hospice care. They were caring and supportive of our family who was struggling to say good bye to our beloved family member. They could not have been more accommodating. Highly recommend if you are in a place where death is close and you need a safe, clean, caring place for your loved one.

This is my first review ever on any site. Emerus presents itself as an Urgent Care, however, for billing purposes, categorizes themselves as a "Hospital". Thus they charge as much, or more, than an actual Hospital ER. Why the heck would a patient go here over Methodist is crazy. This is truly a scam to target those looking for immediate medical care. For those saying they got good service - we did too.... but I've received similar care at other Urgent Care that cost $200... not a total of $3000.

I was there for bronchitis for about two hours. Now I have almost a thousand $1000 dollars I owe!!!! That is after my great insurance paid!! They overcharge. I got bills from the doctor who treated me and the radiologist. I thought the doctor was included!!
However the staff were very good and made me comfortable. The person at the desk overcharged me on my initial fee so watch out! I think this company takes advantage of the very sick who comes to the emergency room for a reason. Pass this place up when look to be treated!!!!

We stopped by for a quick check up after a car accident. My mother and I were hit from behind at a red light about 30 minutes prior. I explained this to the front desk clerk, and asked what we needed to do for insurance. My mom was still shaken up and sitting in their waiting room, and I told the front desk clerk we needed to go back home for my mom's flex spending card, but if it would be okay for her to sit a few minutes. She replied, "No, she can't do that". We left (my mom was very upset), but I quickly went back in to get her name, to which she started giving excuses saying we could've stayed but only for a few minutes (which is what I told her). This was around 8pm, there was no other patients in their waiting room, and it was pretty quiet. Ironically, I work directly across the street from them in another medical profession, and our situation was handled very poorly. There was no consideration for our well being, the clerk (who said her name was "Eddie") was very unprofessional, and we will never be going back. You are much better off trying another ER, there are plenty in the surrounding area.

We've also tried contacting their patient relations department but have yet to hear back.

To the folks bitching about the cost and giving 1 star reviews.
"Grow up, this is not the nurses office at your grade school. It is an emergency room and it costs money".
Whether you show up with for a headache or a broken arm, you will be treated without the six hour wait you have at a hospital emergency room. The price will be compatible to an emergency room visit. My personal experience when I visited with a foot injury was that I was taken from the waiting room to the exam room in under 5 minutes. The x-ray was taken and reviewed within 20 minutes. I was informed that I did not have a fracture, fitted with a foot brace and sent home in under an hour and a half. At the hospital emergency room I would have been lucky to have actually been asked to fill out my patient information in that time.
