I am currently at the hospital as we speak and have been waiting for 3 1/2 hours for my grandmother to be seen. The nurse at the front desk was extremely rude to my grandmother the last time we were here! Then when she saw my grandmother she said “ I know her “ and made her sit and from what it seems NOBODY in this damn hospital has time to see any of the patients. They’re treating the patients as a burden. They are to comfortable being absolutely unsatisfactory. I do not understand how this hospital is still open. If you do come to this hospital - you damn near need to FALL OUT on the floor to be helped and even then I’m still not sure.

One of the worst places I've ever received care for my children. My 2 year old had an injury that i wanted to get looked at to make sure it wasn't serious. After waiting 4 hours his injury was made worse thanks to the physician and ultra sound technicians. We were there a total of 5 hours. He was screaming in pain when the ultrasound tech told him to "stop crying" because it was making her job hard. He is 2 and he was in Pain! That's when I had enough. I took my poor baby and left that sorry place in tears. Besides the horrible care and insane wait it was dirty and run down. The nurse didn't change the sheets after a patient left and lied straight the the next patients face when asked if she did. The waiting room is chalk full of unwell people but the Dr. And nurse walk around like it's the slowest night of the year. I'm not at all convinced the doctor even listened to me since when he repeated back what i told him it was a completely different story. I would rather drive an hour than go back to that place. Horrible experience.

If you love someone, don't send them here. The staff is terrible. My father-in-law told his son to get him out of there, because the only wanted to give him pain meds on a schedule comfortable for them. I too had the opportunity to stay there a three times.

My first time I will skip, because it was icu. They are more attentive in ICU. The other two times I will focus on since they were similar experiences.

Upon arriving in my room I told them I'm too hot and it will cause lasting problems with my MS symptoms. In both cases, nurses on both shifts ignore my pleas until it got unbearable. It's not until my wife or I throw a fit before they do anything. I need my meds every six hours or my symptoms cause pain and spasms like the heat does. Again I have to get aggressive/assertive and then they pass the buck. They just say, the pharmacy . . . . The pharmacy is right there on the floor and finally I get to speak to the pharmacist and she tells me no one told her anything. In the mean time I don't get my meds on time, I don't get all my doses and I don't get my all my meds.

All they had to do is go to the pharmacist on the relatively small floor and tell her. I'm told that the nurses are very busy, which I find difficult to believe, because the talk a lot right outside my room. Then my home nurse tells me that the nurse over me said she thought about not answering my wife's phone call because she didn't want to talk to my advocate.

Finally, their bedside manner was at times was lacking. I told the tech my shoulder hurts. She blurted out, don't lay on it, not knowing my medical situation. Another time I told her I'm getting too hot again. Not offering anything she just blurts out take your gown off.

I will never stay there again. I would rather pay an ambulance out of pocket to go somewhere else. If you have a choice, go somewhere else. I have been in several hospitals this year and Fort Washington Medical Center is undeniably the worst.

Terrible experience everyone is just sitting there having conversations and always make you wait hours before they call you and. The place can be dry but there are always busy. 😑
