When we bought our new house we were remodeling some. The baby was walking around after we finished and tripped over a hammer. Her ankle twisted and we heard a loud pop and she couldnt put weight down and she bumped her head. We took her to freeman just in case. The nurses were so nice and sweet. The doctor was very informative and compassionate. Thanks Freeman!
I am a retired nurse and I would never recommend this hospital to anyone. My 62 yr. brother who has lung cancer, COPD, emphysema, and heart disease was seen in the ER for severe shortness of breath and extreme weakness. He was in the ER for 10 hours and was finally given a steroid shot and a prescription for an inhaler. They didn't do ANY respiratory treatments. They sent him on his way in the middle of the night while knowing he was totally alone without transportation or any relatives living in Missouri. He begged to sit in the lobby until daybreak when someone could come and pick him up. They refused and sent him into the cold dark night all alone. He could barely walk. I had to call a police officer to come and help him. The officer was so kind to give him a ride. Shame on Freeman Hospital. Our family attorney will be in touch.
Zero stars. As a CNA and not being new to hospitals, this the worst hospital I have ever been to. I was and still am revolted by the care my spouse was received here. We spent 9 hours there, waiting for him to be seen and helped. We asked multiple times on several different occasions to be consulted by a specialist, a physician, and/or a nurse. We were ignored more than once, waiting for hours in the waiting room to be updated. This place is absurd.
I have been waiting in the emergency room waiting area for over 5 hours. My problem is not life threatening BUT this is ridiculous. Hire more staff, do something.
Huge time wasters. Call you to pre-register and then go over everything again when you get here, after they make you wait 30 minutes. The system could use some streamlining.
Now they want me to spend more time on the phone with a representative.
