I met with RN Tabetha, Echo Tech Terri and Dr Hardu for treadmill stress test. Everything was explained thoroughly in a helpful and courteous professional manner. Everything went well before, during and after the test. The stress test was performed Tuesday December 4 2018. Thanks to all who participated.
ER staff was efficent, professional and compassionate. The wait was very minimal even on New year's day at 3p.m. I was in abdomenal distress. The cat scan revealed a hernia. But the staff was more than patient and thorough with me. I'm so thankful. I'd recommend them!
Technician that drew blood, tore off one finger of his glove. He used that gloveless finger to feel for the vein. I figured strange but whatever. He swabbed the area with the wipe and before I could stop him, again felt for the vein with the ungloved finger and stuck in the needle. The RN standing there did nothing to stop this idiocy. The IV made a bit of a mess- I don't recall seeing that much blood ever. It was as if the backside wasn't secured. Didn't seem to bother the technician that my blood was all over his finger. Garden City NEVER AGAIN. Zero concern for standard protocols.
My sister has been in the CCU and I consider the care that she has received as outstanding. They are constantly checking on her making sure that she's comfortable and I feel doing the best care she receive. I've been very happy. They've been informative about what's going on, what her condition is, and willing to answer any questions that I asked.
This is coming from Mary Beth Pauline-Morand: Great job Garden City ER Team!
I was in the ER this afternoon due to my son's injured ankle and all of the staff who helped us were just nice to be around. We worked with Alissa Becker, NP and Howard Fenkel, DO. I wish I had the names of the 2 nurses who gave my son the crutches also. They both took extra time to show him how to use the crutches. We were in at 3:23 pm and out by 5! Very efficient with minimal wait time. I recommend this ER. They are an fine examples of balancing compassionate care with efficiency.
