I had discussed the problems over the phone with the hospital staff, talked to a lawyer about it. Anyway the ones we had got disrespected from.... no longer work at Garden City Hospital. it involved me, some babies and a retired U.S Marine Corp veteran. The people who use to work at that hospital was very wrong in trying to shame that man for helping. I let it go but it will never be forgotten with all the insults-put downs-name calling-shaming. I have lost all respect for that hospital .That was suppose to be a glorious experience for me. Instead that staffs immaturity turned it all into a nightmare. it's a damn shame I had to post this.

I was at the hospital for some testing and I would like to thank Terri Camel Roc8 for all the care she gave to me. Also I would like to thank Debbie who came to help her. When I went to Pulmonary the young man was very good and friendly and explained everything to me. Ronald Nowitzke

I came to Garden City Hospital on 2/18/19 for a tilt table test and I was really nervous and Didn’t know what to expect. I registered with the nurse and sat down. When I was called for my turn my hands started shaking and I’m panicking not knowing what I was about to do. Tabitha the RN who did the tilt table test talked to me real calm like cause she could see the stress on my face. She took the time to explain everything that we were getting ready to do and how long it would take, she showed compassion and real empathy for me and for that I say Thank you Tabitha.

TLDR: I live in a different state, and I'm being negatively credit reported for a service provided to another woman with the same name but a different DOB. HIPAA violation.
****

I gave birth to my son at Garden City hospital in 2011; I moved out of state (10+ hours away) in 2012. In 2017, an open collection was spotted on my credit report along with strange addresses belonging to another woman. I had apparently received a service in 2015 (I won't disclose the service provided for privacy purposes). Numerous calls to the hospital's billing department, the billing agency, and the third-party collection agency were made; however, no resolution was found until I contacted medical records. It was determined that a woman with the same first and last name, and a SIMILAR BUT DIFFERENT date of birth, received that service. Her driver's license was found attached to the service provided. The hospital failed to perform their due diligence and properly verify her date of birth. I now know this woman's current and previous residence, her name and date of birth, her son's name, her husband's name, her insurance company at the time, and multiple dates of services along with the services that were actually provided at Garden City hospital. The billing department made no attempt to look into the problem (they were first contacted in 2017), and I'm still fighting to have this removed from my credit report. The medical records department was helpful and sent a notice to the billing agency 12/2018; however, I've been notified that a report was run 1/29/2019, and it was determined that this debt belongs to me. I would not recommend this hospital.
