First time ever visiting this hospital and the staff was very friendly to me and my daughter. Also big thumbs up to Ms. C.Hodges the NP. She was very kind, helpful and informative to me and my daughter. Keep up the good work. I'm from Georgia and I got better treatment from the staff compared to my hometown hospital
Cannot say enough good things about Tennova! My Mom was rushed by ambulance and had a team of doctors and nurses waiting on her when she arrived. They were literally running down the hall with her, wasting no time treating her heart attack, and saved her life! The ER attendant was friendly and helpful when we inquired about her, which is huge when you're scared and have no idea what happens next.
We arrived late after the main entrance had closed and a security guard helped us get to the waiting room we were supposed to wait in, then came up to the ICU waiting room to check on us and ask about Mom once she was moved.
Her nurses, Stefani and Ali, in the ICU were amazing! They took such good care of her and played a huge role in her quick recovery. I can't say enough good things about these two women, they are phenomenal, knowledgeable and are definitely right where they need to be.
All of the nurses in the ICU were wonderful and when she was moved, the nurses on the 5th floor were wonderful as well. Our family is so thankful for such an amazing team. From the time we stepped through the doors the staff at Tennova attended to our every need. The only thing I can think of that may not be as positive was the food, but it's last on the list for sure because for us it was about the care our mother received. Thank you is not enough Tennova.
When I gave birth in this hospital I was treated like an animal. The nurses did not check on me at all. I had to continue ringing the emergency call button what seemed like forever. When they finally came they had an attitude. I barely could walk my lower pelvis was hurting so bad. My son was born with a broken clavicle. Smh. No wonder why African American women mortality rate is high after giving birth! This hospital is a prime example why!
Two weeks later someone from the hospital had the nerve to call me and ask how my experience was. When I started to complain they quickly cut the interview short. To my black sisters please try to make it to nashville to give birth! My son and I are lucky to be alive!
Also, on a different note; when you are sick and go to the ER the average wait is 5 hours!! But when you go to the back to be seen after your long wait in a crowded ER THE BEDS are empty! EMPTY!!! I asked them why?? And the nurses told me it's because them BEDS are reserved for people transported via ambulance. So last time my son was sick I called the ambulance instead and was tended to immediately.
If you need to be seen immediately your better off calling the ambulance.
My son was seen and had the test results back for the flu within 45 minutes. They answered all of my questions without making me feel trivial. I felt relieved and reassured when we left. And I was able to get my sick baby back home to bed in a reasonable amount of time. Thanks!
It really is unfortunate that this hospital has such a awful review because they have been great for me and my family. Hospital staff is kind and informative. Work at a fast pase. The hospital is clean and organized.
