I have mixed feelings on my local hospital. The ER doctor's change frequently so there are good and not so good doctor's. There's times where I was rushed back & times I had a long wait (Depends on severity of issue your having). I will say anytime I have brought my kids in they have always taken them back fairly quickly and treated them well.

As for the rest of the hospital though I wasn't very pleased but it has been a very long time since I had an overnight stay. Around 17 years ago I had my first surgery which was an appendectomy. I was being wheeled in and the surgeon says "So we are taking your gallbladder are we". Wrong! My Dad corrected them very quickly that it was my appendix coming out! The second time was when I gave birth to my daughter in 2011. I did not want my baby to sleep in the nursery. I didn't care that I had just had a cesarean. I was taking full care of her! Well every time I would fall asleep I would wake up to my baby missing from my room. Of course they have to do routine checks and tests but when it came to feeding, changing and bathing I wanted to be the one to do that. Aside from that and a not so friendly old nurse I had one night, I had pretty good care. The food was suprisingly good too!

This was my first trip to this facility and I was very impressed by the care I received in the ER. Linda, Brandy, and Amber provided excellent care from the time I walked in the door. Thank you

Michelle in er was great. She was helpful, answered my questions and made me relaxed.
They did all of the basic texts.found nothing. Sent me home with no notion why I can't walk.it looked

My wife went to the emergency room for severe pain in her back. She was accused of abusing her pain medicine (This despite the fact that her Dr had her staggering prescriptions in a specific treatment). Her script for her pain medicine clearly stated that it should last 9 days. It had been filled on the 16th of Oct. and she was at ER on the 28th. They treated her as if she was someone who abused their medicine. I would never tell anyone to go to the ER in Clinton. They do not know her medical history even though she brought in paperwork of her MRI and papers from her surgeon showing she has surgery on Nov. 9th. An intern named Jon Kellner was the one who was treating her so poorly. He is not even a Dr. and didn't bother to look at her medical papers she brought in. We will not pay this bill as they did nothing. They offered her a steroid shot and she had had 2 within the past 2 months and they didn't help. I still can't believe they treated her the way they did.

Doctor send me over to get lab work from the hospital and they do not process my lab work through my insurance. A year and half later I get a phone call that they are sending me to collections for non payment, now I’ve never received a bill or call prior to this. I asked what this is about and she states it’s from GVMH so I call the hospital and they tell me it’s for the lab work I had done and I didn’t provide insurance information to them. I explained the doctors over at the clinic sent me over and it should have been on file. Nope. They refused to do it. They billed as self pay even though I had insurance started out over 1100 dollars but because I was “ self pay” they gave me a 40% discount which brought it down to 864.00 dollars . This is ridiculous to me. I will never go back here again and please be warned when dealing with the billing department you will be treated like a criminal even though this was 100% their fault. I had insurance on file and they refused to use it.
