My best friend’s gums are cut open to the point that there hanging over her teeth, has been three hours and no help.
First it was an online briefing for an at home hospital appointment scheduler on hangout. I thought I was going to be a video, but it was all through text, In less then an hour I was “hired”, then she said I was going to receive a check to buy supplies...red flag. I felt like she used the word “trust” to often. She told me to contact an email that wasn’t the hospital, and that the hr team wanted the conversation recorded on hangout so she wouldn’t call me, then I requested her work email and she disappeared.
Mean while I’m trying to contact this hospitals hr and security team to let them know, or at least ask. I called about 10xs and I left a voice mail.
I’m over it but I hope they get the bad PR they deserve for this. Someone is impersonating a repressive of your hospital and some was trying to help.

I had a hip replacement at Goleta Valley Cottage Hospital in March of 2017. I could not have been happier with the whole experience. They put on a very informative seminar each month for those planning or even just considering joint replacement surgery, so I had a good idea what to expect before going in for the procedure. Everyone was very helpful and considerate, the food was really good and available whenever you wanted it like room service in a hotel, and I felt very well taken care of by the nurses, physical therapist, occupational therapist, and the doctors. I can't say enough good things about my surgeon, Dr. Emmerson, and would recommend him to anyone with a joint problem.
This so call hospital kicked out my sick 84 year old father just 24 hours after he arrived. Two CT scans showed he has a lower spine fracture and a painful bladder infection which he needed to have a catheter inserted. Even though the doctor was in process of submitting an order for my father to remain in the hospital for at least one more day, you transferred him to an after care facility with the catheter still attached. Cottage never spoke to my dad’s doctor regarding his care. Your lack of compassion for your patients is shameful. I guess your administration and the insurance company thought my dad was costing you too much money so you kicked him out!!! For God sake, he had insurance!!! If you don’t actually care for people, should you be called a hospital????
