My husband was transported from our timeshare at about 9:30 pm on September 29, 2017 and passed away September 30, 2017 at 11:05 AM. I was treated with kindness and respect from the ER admitting desk as well as from the nurses, doctors, interns in the ER to the nursing staff in ICU. His surgeons were caring as they explained the severity of his illness. Our children drove through the night and were present when their father passed away. We were treated with care, the staff engaged us in understanding his living will and power of medical attorney wishes. The doctor explained to the three of us what was happening to my husband. When he passed away, the nurse removed equipment so that he would look more natural, and encouraged us to stay with him as long as we wanted. We were treated with compassion! While in the ER he received immediate assessment of his illness, while I gave medical history. I know in my heart that if he could have been saved that the medical staff at this hospital had the knowledge and the heart to do so. We will soon be at the one year anniversary of death of my soul mate of 49 years. I do not remember the names of the medical staff but I do remember that all staff members were committed in providing immediate, compassionate and best practice medical care to my husband as well as providing support for me and our children as we experienced the initial shock and grief of losing our loved one.
I have been a patience here for couple years now. Currently in recovery ICU . The day nurses Danielle and rapid response nurse Jessica where excellent. My surgeon Dr Farrah and his team excellent to work with. Since Oct 23rd on first day of admission everyone has been great . Keep up the hard work everyon
Came to visit my mom, and from what I observed the staff is great. Jonathan and Melinda are awesome, I appreciated how they treated my mom. Now, whoever is in charge of making sure the patients get their food, is a different story. I was rather displeased with how they forgot my moms meals twice in one day. So, I can only imagine how it is when I’m not here. (Not saying that my presence means something) Especially, since she’s a diabetic. So, frankly, it pisst me off. Besides that Jonathan and Melinda were great😊. Thank you for taking care of my mom🙌🏻
I was just seen in the ER. Never have I experienced such poor service. They seemed like they didn’t care what was going on. They just wrote a prescription and sent me on my way. This will be my 3rd trip to the ER with the same problem. Two trips to Conway and one trip to Grand Strand.Where I thought i would actually get some answers. For all of you to tell me absolutely nothing. I am so tired of these so called doctors telling me I “think” it’s this and I “think” is that. When the bottom line is they know absolutely nothing. I just want to feel like a patient and not just a number. Please send me to someone who knows what they are doing and can give me answers.
Horrible medical facility! My daughter was there to give birth, and did not receive the medical attention to which a new mother is entitled. I had to call the nurses' station repeatedly due to their failure to even feed my child! She was given a turkey sandwich after delivery that started at 5:00 a.m. - first "meal" she had since the day before that I had to ask for at 7:00 p.m. She was suppose to have surgery the following morning so no breakfast was served; but when the surgery was postponed, she did not receive neither breakfast nor lunch. They also failed to get her dinner order so it was not served! No one was willing to accept responsibility for starving my daughter - the nurses and the dietary department placed blame on one another.
For several months after the delivery, we contacted the billing department to ascertain the status of her bill. I had made a partial payment prior to her discharge to get some piddling discount. The inept employees couldn't get the coding correct, and the invoice was submitted to the insurance company three or four times. When they finally got it processed, we were told she would receive a bill at which time she could set up a payment plan. For months I asked her if she had received a bill. When she finally did, she made a nominal payment since she is a single mom; and had just returned to work. Instead of working with her, they turned her account over to collections!
I would NEVER recommend this medical facility to anyone. First the quality of care was lacking, then the employees who you would think invoice for deliveries on a daily basis couldn't get the claim processed, and then without giving my daughter a chance to pay on the account it was turned over to collections. Horrible place! Obviously patient care is not its priority!
