Stayed at this hospital with my child in Pediatrics, where I got admitted from ER. This is the best experience I had from any hospitals stays I ever had. The rooms and accommodations provided for my child and me were great, I even got a full bed for myself. The nursing staff in Pediatrics are amazing: kind, caring, responsive, never had to wait for longer than a couple of minutes for a nurse to come in when I called. My daughter was provided all kinds of toys and books and entertainment appropriate for her age, so I was able to keep her occupied and distracted in most miserable time for her. We were also provided with all the necessary supplies like diapers and wipes and clothes for her to change. The nurses would always talk to me and keep me informed about all the lab work and doctors orders. At night they were so quite and caring to not wake me or baby up when they needed to check her IV. When we were discharged they even walked me to the parking lot to help me quickly find my car. The doctors were great as well, carefully listened to me and responded to all of my questions and concerns. Again, overall great experience (aside for baby daughter being sick) with this hospital stay. Thank you for making my child all better!
My father was recently admitted to Grand View and had the most wonderful experience, starting
from the ER to all the nurses and doctors once he was admitted. They were well staffed and immediately attentive. My father thought they were all angels. Every one of them should be commended. My mother even sent them a fruit bouquet! They answered all our questions and even anticipated our questions. We didn’t feel like we had to drag information out of them. Care was well coordinated between shifts, and they sent us home with very thorough instructions. I found his treatment there much better than at other local hospitals. Thank you to everyone at Grand View.
I very recently had an overnight stay for a surgical procedure. My wife had a stay 2 years ago, and was so happy with her treatment, that I decided to use them as well. I can honestly say this was by far the most attentive, compassionate, knowledgeable medical team and staff I've ever come into contact with. As each group of nurses and aides came and went of duty, those leaving introduced me to the incoming, informing each other of my special needs-pain level-dietary needs-and showing them my emergency contact info, setting me at ease and making my stay so much easier to deal with. I donot wish a hospital stay on anyone, but be relieved that this facility will take exceptional care of you and your family members if and when you need them.
I had to go to the ER yesterday because I injured my back lifting a 5 gallon jug of water. Everyone who treated me was great, and I was in and out in a little over an hour. The only bad thing that happened was the receptionist lost my Driver's License and could not find it.
We got in contact with Sandy from the Patient Relations Department to help locate my Driver's License, and she was absolutely wonderful! Hands down one of the most willing to help, caring people I have ever had the pleasure of speaking to!
My Driver's License was eventually found and all is well. HUGE thanks to you Sandy! You're a legend and we GREATLY appreciate all your help!
My boyfriend was misdiagnosed and we were sent on a wild goose chase for 4 YEARS. Only after switching to St. Luke's Hospital were we able to find a doctor who could actually diagnose his pain and we are on our way to an actual treatment plan. Grandview is terrible at listening to their patients and make mistakes that shouldn't be made by anyone liscensed in the medical profession.
