feedback about Hanover Hospital
I was here for over a week in the ICU. I know this hospital gets a lot of complaints. However, I felt they did a good job in helping me recover. I may not even be alive today if it wasn't for them. I had a rude nurse or two, but most of the staff was very caring overall. The nurses checked up on me fairly often, and they usually came to my aid when I needed them.
This place is a joke. Waited two hours and no one checked in on my wife. Guess the Chinese food was more important. I don't ever recommend going to this hospital. 0 stars
The seats are pretty comfy for the first hour, on hour 5 after still not being seen the suck.
Update - the chairs in the exam rooms are not much after hour 7 of waiting to see a doctor
I took my daughter in at 4am on Tuesday with a fever of 103 and the most severe chills I’ve ever seen. She went to bed normal, and woke up at 4am with all of this! They said it’s a virus from school, let it run its course... the next night, same happened so I took her to gettysburg this time. This time, they actually ran tests unlike Hanover. They didn’t just assume unlike Hanover. Come to find out she had a severe UTI that was affecting her kidneys causing all of this! Hanover would have never known and neither would I had I not got a second opinion!
Normally I would have rated a 4 but this time as a mental patient instead of surgical, But this time, I was put in a small room with a key lock on the door no call bell no trash can and with a blanket and brown stuff on the floor. Food was all use your fingers sandwich for breakfast and cold cheese (not egiable) burger and fries fresh out of the refrigerator. I won't be leaving for another 2.5 to 3 hours. Hour long trip to a facility that can take me, diabetes, heart, asthma and more.
