Hardin Memorial Hospital

If there were ZERO stars, this is what they’d receive. I have never been to such a sham of a hospital. My husband was involved in a serious car accident and, rather than take him 45 minutes north to U of L Hospital, he was brought here. In the 7 hours he has been here, I have had to find nurses to address his needs. The ONLY time he has been seen is because I have demanded it. In the last 2 hours, the only staff that has walked down his hallway have been CUSTODIAL! This hospital is nothing more than a FIRST AID STATION. If they are so concerned about transporting my husband to a TRAUMA CENTER for the fluid in his abdominal activity, they certainly do not show it. In conclusion, I would not come here for anything greater than a sore throat or a sprained ankle. Save your money, save your time, save your loved one! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

I have never had better service at any hospital. I was out of town on vacation and needed an ambulance. The EMT drivers were easy to talk to, and they wished me the best of luck before they left the hospital. Joey was excellent. I was so comfortable talking to him, in a normally uncomfortable situation. The nurses in the ER were amazing!!! I wish I had these nurses back home. Sherry Shelton was kind, sweet, comforting, funny, and she always helped me when I needed it. The other nurse who was terrific was Ashlen Emmit. I was starving and she brought me a little bit of everything including ice cream. She was very kind, caring and sympathetic. I felt as though these two nurses were my long lost family. I will definitely recommend this hospital.

ER was top notch, very professional staff all the way around. I was In, diagnosed, treated and released in 2 hrs, including a half dozen blood test and a CT scan with contrast.

Both times I have seen the ER Dr well PA Jennifer and both times I was turned away. She wouldn’t do anything for me either time and I told her instead of wasting everyone’s time and money they could look at why we came in and tell us at the front that they can help us for that reason. She told me the one I should be mad at is my doctor for sending me there just wow.

I've had the best experience with the staff, doctor and nurses. The nurses were all excellent. They were very efficient, nice and informative. The operating room technicians were excellent and made me feel at ease. My cardiologist Dr. Gayasaddin was great and he saved my life. The food was absolutely delicious and always served hot. This was my first experience with HMH and I would definitely go back without hesitation.
