feedback about Hardin Memorial Hospital
I have never had better service at any hospital. I was out of town on vacation and needed an ambulance. The EMT drivers were easy to talk to, and they wished me the best of luck before they left the hospital. Joey was excellent. I was so comfortable talking to him, in a normally uncomfortable situation. The nurses in the ER were amazing!!! I wish I had these nurses back home. Sherry Shelton was kind, sweet, comforting, funny, and she always helped me when I needed it. The other nurse who was terrific was Ashlen Emmit. I was starving and she brought me a little bit of everything including ice cream. She was very kind, caring and sympathetic. I felt as though these two nurses were my long lost family. I will definitely recommend this hospital.
I've had the best experience with the staff, doctor and nurses. The nurses were all excellent. They were very efficient, nice and informative. The operating room technicians were excellent and made me feel at ease. My cardiologist Dr. Gayasaddin was great and he saved my life. The food was absolutely delicious and always served hot.
This was my first experience with HMH and I would definitely go back without hesitation.
Great job with the emergency room remodeling! Worse than ever. Been in the area for 23 years and this is embarrassing. Turned a great local hospital into something like downtown Louisville. Administration should feel ashamed.
The ER staff is so incredibly unprofessional, my nurse was loudly bad mouthing me right outside of my room after talking to be for about 3 minutes. I got ignored for 5 hours and then told that the doctor didn’t have time to see me that he had more important patients and I was discharged because I have a chronic condition I shouldn’t have come to the ER. I would avoid this hospital at all costs. They are understaffed and unorganized. There is absolutely no communication and no one even took the time to run any tests besides bloodwork which came back abnormal & let me go home with dangerously high blood pressure.
This is what passes for an Emergency Room in this area. People are screwed if there is ever a major incident. This place can't handle an easy work load. 6+ hours for a severe ear infection. Say and waited 3 1/2 hours to get to a room. Doctor shows 30 minutes later. 2 hours to be discharged. No tests ran. Just looked in the ears. ER was not even close to busy when staff has time to sit and chat at the nurse's station about their plans for their day off. Room was not cleaned properly. Staff tried to play it off as nothing when it was pointed out there was a used medical item on the floor.. Then staff used a glove to remove the sharp/biohazard that they said was not a big deal and dropped in the sharp bin.
