No care; incorrect diagnosis I came here because I had been struggling with a really bad cold for a week and it was getting worse. My cough was painful, icky (if you know what I mean), my chest was killing me and my ear was clogged. My gland was swollen and painful. I saw a young nurse practitioner who gave me the most cursory exam I’ve ever had in my life. She wouldnt get near me. Clearly didn’t want to catch whatever I have. She never felt my glands, and when she looked into my ears, nose and throat, she did so from far away, not exaggerating, then told me it was viral and sent me home. After a terrible sleepless, coughing/hacking night, my husband took me to Marshfield Clinic in Rice Lake. Had an amazingly thorough exam where the doctor actually really really looked at me and he took his time getting specifics, my history, my meds etc. he was in no hurry. Turns out I have an upper respiratory infection boardering on bronchitis and an ear infection. I’m now on double strength antibiotics and other OTC meds. Imagine how much better I’d be feeling if I had one day of meds under my belt had the NP done her job?? I will NEVER EVER go back to Hayward. If this nurse can’t diagnose an ear infection, what happens when it’s something worse? Take the time and drive to Rice Lake. You will get so much better care there.

Treated me for diabetic ketoacidosis. Nurses and doctors outstanding. Lab staff great as I am not an easy blood draw. Great place to go for quality care.

was sick and puking all day, obviously dehydrated. went there and they ran their tests. They said I was sick because I had THC in my system and they said thats why i was puking?. I also had yellow urine from being dehydrated all day and they assumed i had a UTI without getting my test results back. They gave me a shot of the strongest antibiotic, which made me feel even more sick. I called back the next day and asked for my results back and it turns out i NEVER had a UTI. I tried filling a complaint and they were very unprofessional and kept forwarding my call to other people and finally someone just hung up on me. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOSPITAL, BETTER OFF GOING TO RICE LAKE. (DESERVES 0 STARS)

DO NOT COME HERE! Came here because my husband got lymes. All they needed to do was test his blood and send us home with a antibiotic. We were here 6 hours...This ER needs management it’s a cluster F... Go to spooner or rice like. Driving the extra miles will save you hours in the long run!
