Maybe your ER nurse Ryan should check his bedside manner as well as the staff not making assumptions about a patient and treat them like a hypochondriac. I did not go in saying I felt like I was having a heart attack or that I was concerned about my heart. My Cardiologist ordered I go to make sure didn't have an infection. As, my chest still hurt from incision and was itchy, I was either sweating or clammy, felt lightheaded and nauseous. I also had for some weird reason my right eye swelling, and face a bit more round. The questions I asked, well some were pretty close to be more sexist than anything. And the nurse Ryan's attitude wasn't helpful. Yes, I was upset. I had to inform my boss I couldn't work my shift. That's how I pay bills. So, Ryan's condescending comments didn't help. Especially, when he made me walk to bathroom while lightheaded and shaky....yet, became irritated when I was discharged and refused the wheelchair. He even made the comment "I know where I'd like to put it" when another nurse asked him about it. I left the hospital still wondering about my eye and about an infection. I already knew wasn't having a heart attack or stroke. I told them symptoms, medications and everything straight forward. I don't understand why they had to make it more than it was.

They are a good hospital and seem to care about their patients. I have been to the ER probably 10 times in 5 years and have olways had good care from Doctors and staff.

Amazing 1 St visit there for self. The OPS Staff is amazing Mara RN in OPS caring woman. Dr. Grady in anesthesia, awesome I COUNT MY BLESSINGS HERE. Staff from Outside Cart drivers, to front desk entrance. Thank you all for such awesome service

My Family was traveling and my wife got very sick could not move, talk or respond to anyone. We came to Herrin Hospital and was very happy with care my wife received by all. We had the same nurse 2 times (Shaina ) is the most caring person and very good nurse. Don't get me wrong EVERYBODY there was great but she even was a step above the rest. If i ever need medical help i hope i have as great of help as my wife did. I can not say enough great things about ALL there. Keep up the Great Job Herrin Hospital !!!!!

Herrin Hospital has the most friendly, caring, and attentive staff in the area. Ive been there many times over many years for many and varied procedures, and ALWAYS get treated extremely well by 99% of their people 99% of the time. They aren't *always* absolutely perfect, but they are as close as you can get very consistently. They've saved my husband's life a few times here recently too. Come to think of it, THAT is the ONE thing they keep doing that REALLY makes me MAD .
