feedback about Hill Regional Hospital
My husband was hospitalized after going through the ER on Monday 4/22/19. He was considered septic according to the Er and had an UTI. My husband is a diabetic with a somewhat complicated care plan. He was given an IV antibiotic and was told his urine sample would be cultured to be sure he was taking the right antibiotic. He was released on 4/23/19 with the promise from Dr Quartey that she would call us with culture results and possibly change his antibiotic We never got a call back even though we called daily because my husbands condition at home was not improving. We found out today 4/26/19 that the urine was not sent off all week. They did send it off from our doctors office today. My husband was put in a hospital gown per policy but the gown and the sheets along with his IV pole made it nearly impossible for him to get to the bathroom quickly so he chose to sit in a straight chair all night which is not comfortable or good for his circulation. His room temp was 65 and he was not aware until day 2 that there was a thermostat in his room and his day nurse increased the temp to 75. This is a long review and may ramble but suffice to say we will not enter Hill Regional Hospital for another overnight stay. The outpatient testing and my experience with rehab after knee surgery last fall was positive.
Husband came in for lab work and everyone was so friendly and helpful . The lab employees are very good at what they do.
3-20-2019 My mom was brought there yesterday which was 3-19-2019 by ambulance for dry heaving and she couldn't walk due to pain in her back. Yll did blood work and that was it. No UA no nothing. You gave her a pain shot and one phenerfane pull and then discharged her. As she was sitting outside waiting for ride and talking to me she was dry heaving and hollering cause of back pain. She was so groggy from whatever u gave her that, that was all it did. U basically shipped her home sounds like u didnt want to mess with her. I called one of your nurses there and she acted like she didnt like her job. When i asked how my mom is she said oh she is being discharged all she had was back pain and nausious which was a lie she was dry heaving and nothing was cominh out cause she hadnt aint Anything in 24 hours. This morning my mom went to her doctor in whitney and he is now sending her to the hospital here in waco because she is the same way that she was when u all saw her. Its funny how the doctor that sees her is affilliated with u and wouldnt send her back to yll either. Its scarey how some health care system not all but some are treating ppl like oh well lets just treat sympton and not find the root and just hope they dont come back!!!! No wonder ppl told my mom not to go there, but she had no choice because the ambulance told her she had too go there cause it was closest to whitney. Please anyone who needs to go to ER dont go if u have another choice!!
Update 3-20-2019 took my mom to the hospital in waco and they admitted her. She is badly dehydrated NPO and still tremendous back pain. They are saying its bad cdiff and diverticulitis. Thanks alot for not for nothing. You really messed this up. Was she just another older person heck she is only 66 but was she just a throw awat to yll!! Its prolly a good thing she ended up in waco cause if yll did what u did u would have never known what to do.
My mom has C-diff had u listened to her when she told u that on march 3rd she was put on meds and she thinks its worse. You would have known. Oh Just incase yll care which by no response i can tell you dont. She is still in hospital !!!
They did an excellent job with the care of my daughter. I had a bad experience here before and wanted to let everyone know things were completely different now.
My daughter got the help she needed after the nurse shamed her for being poor.
